I was 16dpo. I had given up and hadn't tested in 5 days. So I got a negative at 11dpo.
I was "that girl" and tested early; got my BFP at 7DPO w/ my first PG (later miscarried) and 8DPO when PG with my DS. BUT, my luteal phase was really short, so I was only testing a day or two before AF was due.
I first tested at 12dpo (2 days before I expected my period) and got a negative. I then tested at 17dpo and got a positive.
also -- when you tested a few days before your missed period were you feeling that you had no period-like symptoms at all? Did you feel completely different physically?
@snake: I was charting, and both times, I had REALLY promising charts. Big temp spikes, definite O dates, implantation spotting/twinges, etc. Symptoms were fatigue, really sore boobs, and for the 2nd PG bloating. If the charts had been less promising, I would have waited till AF was late (9-10DPO).
@snake: I was on cd57! So my answers about how are felt are totally invalid. I hated my body when I tested and was ignoring it lol
I was 24 DPO when I got my BFP and had gotten BFNs on DPO 9, 11, 13, 16, 17 & 20.
13 DPO, but I didn't test before then. My LP was usually 13 days long, and I'd seen too many negatives to want to test early. I tested the day my period was due, and I did it because I was charting and my temperature rose when it usually would have dropped.
I literally just got mine! Yesterday was faint positive at 10 dpo, faint morning of 11 dpo and bfp at night. I started testing at 8 dpo though because I couldn't help myself...I just felt different. Good Luck!
I thought I was 10 DPO when I got my BFP, but by the way she's measuring, I was more like 13-14 DPO (I have extremely irregular cycles). I didn't test in the days before and hadn't even planned on testing that early, until I woke up that morning feeling nauseated and like something was different.

I got a faint but obvious BFP at 12/13 DPO (late Saturday afternoon) and much clearer BFP with FMU on 15 DPO.
I only have an 11-12 day LP so by the time Saturday rolled around and my temps hadn't dropped I was pretty confident that I was knocked up. I also had reeeally sore boobs which are still hanging around!
I sort of got a positive at 13 DPO, but it didn't turn positive in the time frame and a very, VERY faint line only showed up about ten or fifeen minutes later. I assumed it was negative and was expecting it to be anyway as we didn't think we had a chance that month. It was only after I googled evap lines and realised that the line I saw had a faint pinkish tinge that I actually thought I might be pregnant. I tested again with FMU on 15 DPO and got a very faint positive on the Wondfos but an immediate positive on a digital.
The only difference for me was that I felt completely normal - none of my usual PMS symptoms of sore boobs, cramps, and bloating. Those all came a few days after my BFP.
13 DPO. I was planning to test at 14 DPO but my temp spiked that morning instead of plummet and thought I should just test.
Try to hold off if you can, false negatives are a pain!
I got a BFP at 11 DPO with a clearblue digital with FMU. I was going to wait until I missed my AF to test but my boobs were REALLY hurting for the past two days and that's not a usual AF sign for me. I also been having vivid dreams and slept 11 hours straight for those past two days as well.
I was about 20 dpo, but scared shitless to test before that. But when I did test, damn did that result show up DARK and IMMEDIATE! That was pretty cool not to have the whole "is that a line???" question.
I took one at 8DPO and got BFN, retested at 10DPO and got a BFP.
12DPO - I didn't test prior to then because of months of early and often testing (and negative results)! My period was due the next day.
7DPO - kinda crazy how early I got my results. I only tested because we were heading out to a birthday party that night, so I wanted to be safe and test so I'd know whether or not I could drink. Never in a million years did I expect to test positive nearly a week before AF was expected! I continued testing for the next, like, 10 days (including TWO blood tests) to be sure I wasn't crazy!!
9dpo BFN (IVF transfer in my case, but essentially the same as 9dpo)
10dpo morning BFN
10dpo evening BFP!!
I beleive I was 13dpo when I tested, it was the day of or day after AF was due, and there was no squinting to see it.
