I feel like I am losing my mind! I cannot find a dress that I am in love with because I always find something wrong with each dress I try on. I've been to 5 bridal stores so far and have only found 1 dress that is okay but I didn't absolutely love. I think another problem is that I have to keep the budget under $1000. It seems like all of the dresses that I see online that I love are $1500 or more! Have any of you had this same problem?

Yes!  I've been to 5 stores as well and I'm beginning to feel like "the ONE" is a myth!!  I've tried on several nice dresses, but certainly nothing that has made me fall in love... I don't know how much longer to continue doing this before I cut myself off and make a decision!

I'm lucky that I fell in love with a dress hovering right around the $1,000 mark--less online, just slightly more in stores. But every now and then I see some designer dress that is obviously way more awesome... and about three times the price. Just go to salons and try on only dresses in your price range... when you don't give yourself a chance to see yourself in more expensive dresses, you can't fall hopelessly in love with them the same way. :)

I tried on 5 dresses..but from the moment I walked in the store I knew which one would be the one! Tried the other ones just to please the girls =)

I tried on a ton of dresses. Well, it seemed that way anyway. probably around 30. I found "the one" about halfway through shopping. It wasn't love at first sight, though. There were other gowns that I liked better, but I took pictures in all of them, and when I looked back at them, I kept going back to this one. It made me look beautiful. It was a great price. And the more I thought about it, the more I realized it is perfect for me.

I went to 4 different stores and tried on close to 25 dresses before I found mine...One idea is that if you try on a more expensive dress that you LOVE, to look for it either at a sample sale, discount bridal place, online or at a used bridal site (oncewed.com)...I think it is hard to find a nice dress for under $1000, so this is a good way to go...For example, mine was originally priced at $3900, the sample was listed at $1300 but then I begged and pleaded with the sales lady and she took another $200 dollars off! Keep looking, you'll find the right one eventually! Good luck, post a pic when you do find it!

I've been to five stores so far and am still looking. I have it narrowed down to two favorites, but I'm certainly open to finding a third! I'm taking my time trying dresses on and picking my wedding gown because it's one of the best parts of wedding planning for me!

I went to two different stores before I found "the one."  At the first store, I tried on maybe 5 or 6 dresses just to see what styles I liked.  I knew I wasn't really looking for "the one" at that time, but I just wanted to get a feel for how different dresses looked on me.  After the first shopping trip, I had a pretty clear idea of what I was looking for (slim A-line dress w/ a lace overlay).  At that time, I tried on maybe 8 dresses that were similar but had different details.  I narrowed it down to two dresses that I knew I'd be happy to wear on my wedding day, and then I slept on it a few nights before going back and picking "the one!"
