According to my checklist I am supposed to order favors now. The problem is that we invited 175 guests, we are expecting maybe 100 of them to come (due to so many people being invited from out of the country) So far we have 50 RSVPed as coming but the RSVP isn’t due for another 2 months. So how do I decide on how many favors to get?

It depends–are you ordering something that can be returned if you buy too many? I would go ahead and get 100, then check your list and order the remainder in early June, especially if you have a DIY aspect to the assembly.

It depends on if you want to give one per person or per couple… and what you’re ordering. If it’s something that isn’t too personalized or hardto find you could wait.
There’s no reason to do it just because the checklist said so 🙂
Depending on how stuff is packaged, if you really want to buy it now I would go with 120 or so. Just to be safe.

I’ve attended weddings where favors were one per couple or one per single person. If you do one per couple, you would need way less…..

I thought it would be great to have one for each guest. Didn’t factor in the people who said ‘no’. Didn’t factor in that most people were having too much of a good time to remember to take the favour.
I have soooooooooo much wedding jam.
In other words, one per couple, unless you put it on the table at the place settings. That was my original idea but my decor girl said it makes the table look messy.

I ordered 120 because I thought I’d have about 100. I was close, we ended up with 105 or so and I didn’t mind having just 15 extra. Is it something that you can order more of if you get more RSVPs?
