I would check with your church to see if that capacity is simply for sitting, or if that's fire code capacity. They may not like the idea of people standing at the back of the church, and also your guests might not like the idea of having to stand in the back.
I hate to say it, but making some guests stand while others get to sit doesn't sound that great. How are you deciding who gets to sit and who has to stand? To be honest, I'd either pick a new venue or cut down your guest list (unless you've already sent out invites, then it's too late for that).

The church's maximum capacity is 130 sitting, expecting 150 however two proms are this day... is it silly to expect some to stand, if your wedding is only going to last 15-20 minutes??
