I’m not having a DW, but a good friend of mine had one in Jamaica last month (which we attended).  I was floored that they had 80-90 guests attend.  I think my friend was, as well!

We’re getting married in Puerto Rico and invited 112 people. As of this morning, 71 are attending. We’re still waiting for a handful of responses but I’m hoping the number stays at 71!!!

We got married in Florida, so it was easier for people to drive and no one needed a passport, so we had about 85 people I think.

I am still 7 months from my wedding, but we invited 106 and have a headcount of 27, including us.  (Our RSVP’s were due really early, so I’m not sure if that helped or hurt our attendance rate.)  We picked an adults only resort and knew that most parents wouldn’t be able to come.  Plus, we also invited all of our family members, and knowing that extended family likely wouldn’t attend (and they aren’t).

I’ve been waiting to reply to this thread, because I stalked it and others like it in the early planning stages of our wedding! It seems like such a catch-22 that you have to know your approximate numbers before you choose a wedding venue, but you can’t know your numbers until you make a deposit on your venue to save the date! DWs are hard, man.

In the end, we sent out 103 invitations, so I’d guess around 150 people were invited, and we’re having 50 in attendance at our destination wedding in Ireland. A little lower than we anticipated, but we’re pleased with the final result. Good luck to all the DW brides out there!

This is interesting.  I think we will be having a DW after all said and done due to my venue being a special place for me an my food allergy concerns.  I know not everyone will be able to attend but I hope some do.  We have about 35 people on the “definitely” list to invite and my parents are willing to pay for a few more than that but we aren’t sure how many will attend.
