I've always wondered how many of you lovely board ladies are interested in/dreaming about/trying to become official bees on the blog.
So how about it ladies? Who's planning to get on the main page?
i've been interested since a month or so ago, i've just hit the time requirement... and am slowly working up the nerve to put my application and blog together!
i love wedding and i will love to be a bee but i dont have that much time to write a blog and my english grammar is so bad that i dont think it will be appropriate for a great blog
I thought I wanted to, but decided it's not for me. I am too busy all week to get to posting
I'm post-wedding now, so I'm outta luck...but I love being here on the boards =)
There was no "maybe" option. :) My wedding is about 13 months away so I have lots of time to decide. I feel that I'd love being a bee... but I won't apply unless/until I am sure I can really commit the time to it. That remains to be seen.
I'm better at reading and posting on the board than I am at blogging. Plus, it's hard enough to keep up with the BEES entries and everyone else's blogs.
I was always interested, but I didn't have the time to blog. Now that I'm married, sigh, guess it's not meant to be!
An undecided option has been added, thanks for the idea Corgi!
I'm not yet in a position to blog (yeah, not engaged yet...) but I doubt I'd do it. While it seems awesome I think you have to love writing to be a great blogger and I certainly don't.
I don't think you necessarily have to love writing! I hate writing, actually! Despise it. I'm an artist, and not a writer.
The way I get by (or hope I get by!) is by writing like I talk, and trying not to overthink things. I love blogging and the creative outlet it provides, so those of you who think you won't like blogging because you hate writing... Well, you just might be wrong! Never hurts to try, right? :)
P.S. Didn't vote 'cause I don't have an option. :p
Wow Sissors, you can't serioiusly tell me that you hate writing. You are one of the bees that I think of when I think of GREAT writer. It think the essence(s) to writing a good are
1) Write something INTERESTING and or useful that people haven't heard before
2) Write for an audience
3) Have a distinctive voice.
You have all of those in spades and are definitely one of my all time fav bees!
I am soo applying :)
Adding a little more sparkle and sha-bam to the blog and probably applying the end of this week. Even if I don't make it, at least I tried, I'm having a blast blogging about my wedding! :)
:( I can't be a bee... c'est la vie, but I sure can read the blogs and follow you ladies along!!!
I love reading all about the bees' planning, but I have hardly any free time and I'm kind of obsessive compulsive and will end up focusing a lot of my nonexistent time on it. Plus my writing skills don't go further than business writing, concise and to the point. I really wish they would let Crebre be a bee, I think her industry knowledge would be very helpful to the ladies in planning.
Just sent my app in recently... but don't know if my style fits. Still, fingers crossed-- I'd love to be a Bee!!
@myra: you're too cute!! definitely check out my blog for industry insider tips (well sort of, more like I am an insanely frugal person :D lol!!! and can DIY) I cannot wait until they reopen the weddingbee pros though!! I would love to apply to that section (sooo cool!!)
I got rejected um...five times. Or maybe six. I can't remember.
I think my blog entries (when I had my wedding-only-desperate-application blog) were just way too forced. After the last "no," I went back to my old blog and I've been enjoying it a lot more.
Technically I could still apply one last time. Seven's a lucky number, right? :P
But all in all, I probably won't.
I would love to be a BEE however - - - I am a far far cry from anything DIY. I have very little patience and truth be told I would rather feed my ideas/visions via verbal diarrhea to someone and have them bring my ideas/visions/wedding dreams to fruition - - which is what I am doing now. Keep in mind I am not paying anyone. I am making use of my resources......
@Myra, I agree! I want Crebre as a bee toooo!!She's like the bee of all bees, other than Mrs. Bee!
@jackie: omg i was totally like you, i'd rather find someone to do something for me versus doing it myself lol!!!!!! now i would rather do it myself than pay someone (funny how that works :D) although i tend to pay experts to take care of crazy difficult stuff for me...
@sweetheart: i dunno about all that.. bee of all bees huh? i think mr. bee is the bee of all bees lmao and mrs. bee... i just hang around to vent and help (i am helped by the pure advice i get when i go crazy over wedding stuff) and it's a place where i can be obsessed with weddings and folks not think i'm too strange lol... i am definitely rooting for y'all to be bees !!!
Well, Mr. Bee and Mrs. Bees are the queen and king bees, of course, but I think you're like the.. lady in waiting? No, that's wrong, you're the next bee in line. haha! When I think of weddingbee I think of crebre and scissors and dresses like Sophia and Moonbeam's pretty handmade dress and sparklers and Ms. nachos and.. ooh weddingbee. Haha! See, I AM OBSESSED!!
LOL sophia made that much of an impression huh?! she was quite the charmer :D... but i think i love my new dress even more, especially after seeing the picture that was drawn. i am head over heels with her and the price, fuhgettaboutit! lady in waiting reminds me of this btw (or was she the queen?) lmao bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! i'm just the OCD bride who will never leave wedding bee because my obsession is my profession :D

Yes, I loved the Sophia! BUT I can't wait to see the new one.. it's a stunner in the photo so I can't wait to see it on you! Did you post pix yet? Oops, we kind of highjacked this thread. And while I love the queen of hearts I hope you don't wear your eyeshadow like hers ;o)
@SD: no pix yet i bought her sight unseen (and not tried on lol) but that's my way she was a great deal!!! now back to the topic at hand, have you applied your blog is awesome?! after all your engagement chicken made history around these parts :D and actually i'm thinking it worked for me, even though I proposed first lmao!!
Ooh, I'm applying soon. I just need to get my blog into shape.
When I first started blogging, it was with the intention of eventually applying to be a Bee. Now I'm not so sure. I think I'm just not sure if my blog is "up to par" and I'm also worried that because I'll be studying for/taking the Bar Exam 1 month before my wedding, I won't be able to keep up to 3-4 posts/wk requirement.
I love the blogs, but can't imagine churning out all of my thoughts and plans into a cohesive piece at the moment since I have been so scatter-brained. Plus, my wedding is way too close. But I enjoy all the humorous and interesting stuff out there.
I'm going to be applying this week :) hehe, love that engagement chicken!!! yum!
@LaborofLove...I love your blog and I love how you call each other Mr. and Mrs. Boring Bridezilla!! I cant wait to see you as a bee...good luck! :)
I thought of applying but I love writing on the boards and dont think I have enough time or put too much time into my own blog. 2 months and counting though!!
Aw you guys are nice. I seriously doubt I'll make it but we all gotta try, right? :) Plus I just adore weddingbee so I have to try!
I dont think Im a good blogger - I update regularly, but Im not fluent with my writing, or the best explainer at times. So thats why im not applying. I think Id like to be a hostess instead. I have so many DIY projects going on that I may not just have the time as the months get closer. The months are flying by! I only have 7 to go!
@sweetheart dealer and labor of love: good luck girlies!!
Not interested. I love the Bee bloggers but it's not my type of writing. I'm a fiction person.
@kitty: lol i personally loved writing historical fiction when i was a child and in early adulthood (and still love reading it)
I have a blog and I'm considering applying next month when I meet the time requirement. I'm just a tad nervous to put the link out in the open for people to read/follow/make fun of. I'm pretty sure I may stink. :)
I applied 3 times and got rejected 4 times. I sort of took that as a sign. (They rejected me once when I had just gotten rejected 2 weeks prior... I guess it was an accident?)
