@ChemistryBride: sorry, have no idea about hoops... but just wanted to say that this dress is GORGEOUS!!!!
@ChristineS86: Thanks! I am so in love with my dress! Can't wait to wear it on the big day!
I would go to a bridal salon and try on different kinds. This would honestly be your best bet.
Allthough I am Dutch, I can read German perfectly. I can help you google and translate if you give me the websites you found it on?
The salon where I bought my dress (only local place that carries that designer) actually doesn't have any hoops to try, they only had one size crinoline for me to try. The owner prefers brides to just get extra crinoline sewn into the dress so they don't have to deal with multiple garments. I like that idea, but I really think I need the hoop to keep me cool!
@Dutch_Bride: I appreciate the offer! I will have to do some searching, it's hard though to even tell if there is any information helpful enough to bother translating :P
As many hoops as you can get your hands on!!! The more the merrier!
So for the moment, I have decided to go with an inexpensive 3 hoop skirt I got from ebay. It seems okay walking around the house, and sitting takes practice but seems doable. Hoping it will be even easier once the dress is there to weigh the hoops down. I plan on taking the hoop skirt to my first fitting and see if it is usuable, and then go from there!
@ChemistryBride: Who on eBay did you get yours from? My dress has a lot of net built in but I am getting married in June outside in Myrtle Beach so like you, I want the hoop to keep it off my legs.
@BodyByViGirl: Hey! I think I got it from Angel's Bridal Shop, http://stores.ebay.com/ANGELS-BRIDAL-SHOP
I haven't tried it with the dress itself yet, but it seems to do the trick walking around the house! Even though the hoops are flexible it does sometimes try to flip up when I sit down, but I am hoping with the dress on top it will weight it down some so that doesn't happen as much.
Beautiful ball gown. So elegant. Good luck with your hoop-hunt! :-D
@Crystalina: Thanks! I bought one with 3 hoops and hope it will work! I haven't had any dress fittings yet, I just hope I can master sitting with the hoops!
@bigcitybee: Thanks so much! I can't wait to try a hoop with the dress, I love it :)

So after trying on my dress when it came in, I have made the decision to go for a hoop skirt underneath, due to getting extremely hot in my dress! I think it will give me the full look I want, and help me keep cool by keeping the fabric off my legs.
My question is, how many hoops do I need? In searching online, I have seen everything from 1-6 hoops in most cases, but have even seen 12 hoops!
I am going for the full ballgown effect, like the model picture of my dress, shown below, Pronovias Levante:

It does have some tulle built in, but I really want a bit more fullness.
Or here is a picture of a real bride in my dress that I like the fullness (off google images):
Unfortunately, ever page I find with a real bride wearing my dress seems to be from Eastern Europe, lots of Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, some Denmark, etc so I have not been able to read them to find out how many hoops they used!
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
