- Wedding: January 2015
Just posting this anon because my bee friend doesn’t want to be identified through association with my account!
I’ve been talking to a fellow bee for a while now and according to her she is always planning. We tracked a week of her planning just for fun and last week alone she spent over 20 hours doing wedding related things (including research and the bee). It is finally starting to catch up with her (letting her work slip up and can’t maintain her part time classes) and she herself is trying to cutback.
I was kind of shocked because if she kept up this pace she is going to have spent over 1000 hours planning her wedding throughout the course of a year! She was shocked to see all of that time going to planning only a few hours of her life!
I on the other hand spend maybe 12 hours a week but that is largely just browsing the bee forums. Actual wedding planning is designated for Friday evenings and Saturday mornings and I spend maybe 6 hours max per week.
So bees: How many hours per week on average do you spend planning a wedding/on the bee? Do you ever end up neglecting other things in your life as a result? Have you ever had to take a moment and stop yourself because it was getting out of hand? And any tips for bees out there who are “out of control” with planning?
