I am currently ordering my wedding invites and was wondering how many to order?
My “invite list” is at 84 (although I have a sinking feeling I may be a few invites off) and my options are 100 or 125. Should I spring for the 125 or will I be okay at 100? I only intend to keep one of the sets for myself (to be framed) and I can’t see myself “messing up” more than 1.

is that the total number of guests? remember families and couples get 1 invite. the general rule of thumb is to order 10% more than you actually need so you have extra if anything happens.

No, sorry, the total number is around 180, that’s the number of families, where one invite will be sent to each family. In cases where children have moved out, they will receive their own invite as they would be considered “adults”.

Can you get extra envelopes and not so many invites? assuming you’re hand-addressing them, that’s really the only reason you would need extra if you were to mess up.
