I only have 4, but I don't see any problem with having more! I think the most important thing is to include all the girls that are important to you and that you want to share your day with ... regardless of the number. Plus, a larger bridal party will be helpful for your girls when it comes to planning (and perhaps even paying for) your shower! Good luck! :)
I don't see any problem with it. I'm having 8, but 5 of them are family and I couldn't pick and choose there. Everyone I am having is important to me and I couldn't imagine our day without them there with me.
yeah i think 7 is just fine!! no worries :D i don't have that many girlfriends so i'm sticking with 3.
I have 8. These days I don't think it matters too much. You can make it work big or small.
I have 6 and its going great! My sister-in-law had 9 of us and it was a big success too. All the girls in my wedding party get along really well and it hasn't been too hard to handle that many at all! When I was in my sister-in-laws party, I saved so much money splitting the shower/bachelorette by 9 of us, it was great! On the flip side, as the bride, you will be responsible for paying for bridesmaid bouquets and presents, so beware before adding too many more as it can be an expense on your end too.
I once saw a wedding with 12, so I think you're okay with 7!
i have 8 total! i just was too close with them and couldn't leave anyone out. they also appreciated being able to spread the cost of the shower out a little more i think.
I have seven bridesmaids too and my FI thought i was crazy as well. but im with you all those women have beenwith me through thick and thin and i couldnt imagine my day without them up there beside me. Ideally i wish i could have asked about 10 but FL said that was out of the question lol so we settled on 7. The most important thing for me on my wedding day was to be surrounded with everyone i love and the consequence was that id have seven bridesmaids so personally i see nothing wrong with it :)
Thanks for your comments! You guys Rock!! I knew I wasn't crazy :) YAY! Now I don't feel bad having 7. Might add one more but we will see.
I worked at David's Bridal for 4 hellish weeks, and we'd get girls with 10 bridemaids. I personally could never handle that. I think it depends a lot on what your crowd of friends is like.
I have 8 and that was my limit. I have 2 friends and all the rest are family. I've been to a wedding where there were more.
I don't think 7 is crazy in general, but it kind of depends on how many guests you have. For example, if you were having a small wedding with only 25 guests, 7 would be a bit much, but if you're having say, 100 guests, that would be more proportionate.
We will have about 125 guest so the scale is right. Thanks all...I need all the amo I can get at this point. Deci
I think 7 is fine. I went to two weddings last year where there were 12 bridesmaids!!! Their party was too big...I seriously felt like the only girl not in the wedding party.

I have 7 bridesmaids in my party. Is that too many? I feel that I am the last of my group that will be getting married and I want all of the people close to me to share in the excitement. My FI thinks I am crazy and says he is not going to have that many groomsmen. I told him he does not have to but I like all my girls. Believe me, I could add two more but am holding back. What do you think?
