I have 140 guests but expect about 100 people to show up at the ceremony. I have only gotten 40 parasols because I figure people can share and the men probably won't want one!
40% of your expected number of guests should be plenty - not everyone will want one and people can share if need be. Depending on the size of the parasols, one per person may be too crowded.

Hi, I was planning on getting some parasols for our outdoor ceremony. We have invited roughly 150 people and expect about 125. Does anyone have some advice on how many parasols to purchase?
Thanks!
