At our head table, we’re having me, my fiance, my sister (MOH), her boyfriend, fiance’s brother (Best Man), and his fiance.  Then the bridesmaids and groomsmen are going to sit in the surrounding tables with their dates.  Our parents and grandparents are going to sit at a separate table together.

We’re going to just have a sweetheart table because all my bm and gm are seriously involved or married and I didn’t want to make them sit with us without their significant other and I so didn’t want a head table with 12 :S

Ours was like hotchild’s.  We had the two of us, plus MOH and her BF, and the BM (who didn’t have a date).  So five of us.  Then the groomsmen/maid/bridesman and dates sat at a table on our right, and the bridesmaids and dates sat at a table on our left.

We had 2 long tables of family style seating with no head table.  We wanted to sit with our guests and be able to talk to them at dinner.  Worked out wonderfully.

We didn’t want to separate our wedding party from their dates, and with 6 on each side, that would have been way too many!!  We ended up sitting with our siblings and their wives (not really a head table though, just a normal round 10 seat table) and sprinkled the rest of our wedding party at tables around us – that way they could sit at tables of people they knew, including their dates.

We wanted to be surrounded with our friends/family which is why we didn’t choose a sweetheart.

It was our bridal party and us.  But honestly we weren’t sitting all that much anyway!  I liked it very much because the time we did spend sitting, I got to enjoy next to my new hubby and my closest friend whom I chose as my maid of honor.  Great times!

We  had 10 people–Bride, Groom, Maid of Honor, Best Man, 3 Bridesmaids, & 3 Groomsmen.  We didn’t have children in our bridal party.  Also, I didn’t seat spouses/partners with the bridal party, they were at a different table.  Some of our bridal party had them and some didn’t, so I didn’t want to make the single folks feel weird.
