I recently learned from the church that we cannot use real rose petals because it might stain the carpets, which is fine we weren’t planning on it, but I would like to know how many silk petals I need to line the aisle. I got 20 boxes of 300 petals from Hobby Lobby (6000 total petals) but everything I am finding mentions cups and I have no idea how to measure cups from silk rose petals.
My aisle is 30 feet long from pew to pew, and 36 feet long from pew to alter steps and I wanted relatively “full” lining. Something like this:
But I don’t know if I want the petals running all the way up to the alter. I was thinking pew to pew, then lining the two steps with rose petals, and maybe sprinkling some rose petals on the aisle (we don’t have a flower girl).
Is 6000 enough for what I want, or do I need to get more? It was only $100 for 6000 from Hobby Lobby. We are not doing an aisle runner because the church doesn’t allow them to be “pinned” in and without being pinned I am too worried about the runner bunching, so I am opting for no runner. Thanks!
