(Closed) How many pounds/kg did you lose in January?

I did! My plan is to lose 20 lbs by April for my engagement shoot! I’ve lost 5 lbs so far! From 184 to 179.

5 more lbs to go before Valentine’s day for my goal #1.

I made a vow Jan 1st 2012 to lose weight and to just enjoy life in general.  Since then I have lost 20 pounds, lost a job and a house offer fell through right before we were suppose to close.  I also gained a disease which limits my ability to work out and cuts down the amount of jobs I can do, which lead to a new understanding of my limits and capabilities.

So I have done so so and my resolution, since Jan 1st 2013 I have lost 6 pounds.  I hope that I will continue to lose weight and also continue eating healthy and just living life the best I can.

@ChuckNorris:  How about you? Have you lost anything? Kept a NYR?

Our major resolution as a couple was to stop eating pizza. We are Pizza Addicts and decided, we are only allowed to eat pizza in two locations this year. We WILL NOT eat pizza unless we are in Chicago eating deep dish (because that’s what I grew up on and all other pizzas are inferior) or unless we are in Seattle eating his dad’s famous garden-fresh homemade pizza.

1 month down… 11 more to go. This is rough.

I started doing the 30 day Shred on January 20th.  I am on day 12 today (skipped a few days because I was on a business trip in Toronto last week).  I just added 20 minutes of cardio on the treadmill today, and as of this morning, I am down 8.4lb since starting! My goal is to lose another 30lb by June 8th (which is when I go on a week long vacation that may end in a proposal!).

I’m not doing a weight loss thing per say but I am in training for a half marathon in September (not a runner so need a LOT of training!), in a month I’ve lost a couple of pounds (not massive results but muscle is heavier than fat Smile ) BUT I’m pretty much down a dress size and my weighing scales which ‘measure’ fat % say i’m down 5% fat, so happy with that result!!

@ChuckNorris:  Same on the half marathon!! Wow 20lbs is a lot… how often are you running per week? I’m following a generic plan of 3 runs per week between 15-25 minutes in length. My legs are tired like ALL the time!!

I did! My wedding is April 27th and I wanted to lose about 5 pounds before the wedding and a few inches here and there. I think I have lost about 3 pounds so far and I have lost a few inches im my hips and legs so I’m pleased with that 🙂

8-ish pounds for me!  I’m happy with that.  And I FEEL so much better!

@ChuckNorris:  @Corgi-cariad:  I’m training for a half marathon too!  But mine isn’t until NEXT February in Disney World.  So lots of time.  But I’m a total novice runner so I have to start early!  If I’m making good progress I might try a half marathon closer to home this year.

@Scorpio88:  I started the 30DS on Feb 1st… and boy, I must be more out of shape than I thought because I can’t even walk down the stairs the next morning, lol. I’m scared to start level 2!

@mkat37:  Oh well done!! Same here being a novice, I’ve never actually enjoyed running but SO sort of convinced me to do it and we’ll be raising money for charity too so that’s definitely givinig me the extra boost I need! Are you taking any supplements or following a nutritional plan? 8lbs is awesome 🙂

I didn’t make a “resolution” per se, but I’ve been doing Weight Watchers since Thanksgiving.  My weigh-ins are on Mondays, so from 12/30 to 1/28 I lost 5.4 lbs – but I’ve lost a total of 21.6 since 11/26!
