..for approximately 120 guests?  I don't want to make too many and have them go to waste!

A couple normally only takes one normally, which is what I've heard. I'm kind of debating this as well. For 150 people (75ish couples) I'm probably going to make 90-100, just so I can send some to friends who can't be there and have some left over. But I tend to make extra of things. I would say you'd be good with 75?

I'd make 150, should be plenty of leftovers!

I agree with JMa. 75-80 would be a good number. We're having between 30-45 guests at our vow renewal, but I'm doing one per person and putting them on the chairs before people arrive. Our reasoning is that we're planning on including copies of the readings (2 or so) and the meanings behind them as well as the same for the ceremony music. I want people to be able to read it and not have to share.

We're hoping for about 175 guests and we made 100.  I just didn't want to slave away on them knowing there would be TONS left over!

I had about 120 people come to our wedding, but less than half took programs. We had made 100 and had many leftovers. It hurt to put them in the recycling bin, they were so pretty! I'd recommend printing less than the number you expect coming!

it depends on how you plan on giving out the programs... we had younger cousins hand them out, but somehow the instructions to give one per family/couple got lost in translation... they ended up handing out a slaved-over program to every single guest, including kids. therefore we ran out & many guests didnt even get one. so my advice would be to make one per couple, if you have someone responsible handing them, make one per person.... either way, set aside a few for your VIPs :)

There have been other posts about this, and people who have gone through it have said make enough for the number of guests you're expecting and divide that number by 2. And you'll probably still have leftovers!

I made 165 for 240 guests which I'm thinking, may be too much.  I think the ratio is usually 1 per every 2 guests.

I'm placing one on every other chair and then having a basket with some exrras -- so I'll be printing about 80 for 120 guests.

Agree with what most said...I made 80 for 125 guests and had only a few leftover.  Each couple usually takes one,  but it depends on how many couples and singles you have.

Piperbenjamin is right---make sure you have a way (sign or usher) to make sure couples TAKE ONE!

Since mine were handmade, many guests thought it was quite unique and asked for extra copies!  So I was  glad to have a few extras...
