We are thinking of having 3 dinner stations instead of a seated meal. It’s surprisingly more cost effective, and we hope it will get people up more and socializing (i hope).
The caterer has really cool stations and we are thinking about having dessert stations instead of cake-a cannoli station and a short cake station.
My question is-is that too much? As a guest, would you prefer just having cake rather than getting up again for dessert?

I like it.
As a guest, I hate sitting forever. We are not doing a seated dinner, we are doing an evening stand up reception with a few tables, cocktail tables, maybe couches. We are having hours devours, and a lemonade stand, ice cream bar, desert table.. I love all the stands!

Ok, great! Ive actually never been to a wedding with stations, so I wasnt sure how it would all flow 🙂

I like this idea – you’ve definitely given me something to think about 🙂

Sounds like a good plan. Who wants to sit down for the entire reception? I would love having a reason to get up and walk around. I get antsy if I have to sit too long.

Great! I was nervous that guests would get annoyed with having to get up for their food.
I would do pretty much anything for a cannoli station, but not all guests are obsessed like me 🙂

Nope, I think it’s a great excuse to stand up and walk around and not feel rooted to your assigned table like a school kid 🙂
