8 different stores. One store, I went to 4 times and finally made up my mind of a dress in THAT store however went and bought it a bit cheaper at one of the 8 stores. that makes sense? haha don’t worry, take as many trips as you need! 🙂 good luck! have pix of any you’ve tried so far??

i tried on dresses at 2 stores, but i had no intention of buying (or even trying anything on) at the first store i went to. i had just gotten engaged, so i just went to look for fun and the saleswoman told me i could try on anything i wanted, so i tried on 2 dresses.

I did the same, in terms of going to salons and trying on dresses without any intention of actually buying them. I kept an open mind, but since I’m living in Beijing, I was fairly sure I wouldn’t find anything to my style. Some came quite close, but there was always some sort of dealbreaker – corset lacing, bulky lace, or just too much going on. It did really help to get an idea of which silhouettes, styles and fabrics suited me though!

Just 2.  I wasn’t looking to buy but in the second shop I found the one and made the commitment!  A bit scary but I made the right choice I think!

Now I feel so much better…. I thought I am going crazy. Ill be going to my 4th and 5th store today and I am already a mess. All the dresses look nice. I just dont see much difference anymore. I cant find “the one”… So right now I dont have high hopes for todays appointments.

@Antonia1:  It sounds like you’re suffering from dress shopping fatigue…maybe take a few days off from looking at or trying on dresses, and start afresh!

I visited three salons in one day and was almost out of my mind by the end of the day. And I wasn’t even intending to buy!

I think there is way too much pressure to have ‘the moment’ with tears of happiness when you find ‘your’ dress, and that your wedding dress is meant to be the most amazing thing you’ll ever wear. As long as you find a dress that looks good, suits your shape and style and makes you feel fabulous, I think that’s all the essential boxes ticked!

    5. So far. I have a repeat appointment with one of the five on Sunday. There’s one more store in the area I’d like to go to if I can’t find one there.

I’m ready to be done shopping.
