@tiffanyscanlan:  I’ve seen a lot of people do several “tiers” of cupcakes, then a small cake as the top “tier” — which is what you cut.  So I vote one 🙂

Are you going to have an anniversery tier?

It apparently depends on what type of cake you have – we are having a traditional fruit cake and we didn’t need as much than if we had chosen a sponge cake. (We are having three tiers, but the bottom tier alone should feed 80 people)

@tiffanyscanlan:  yes that would be two. Or you could do without cake cutting and just have an anniversery tier. Feed/smash cupcakes to each other. Dont know how you feel about that. You could have separate cake and cupcake stands, or do as pp suggested. Which is a great compromise.  Whatever you choose im sure your guests will love it!
