But to answer your question - our number fluctuates. I work nights so there's times where all I do is sleep then go off to work. We usually have the most sex after I work my three day weekend (which is this weekend so next week should be filled with tons! hah). The other night we had sex three times in one night. That was great.
We have somewhat opposite work schedules so it's less than we both would like!

For us, it depends on our schedules. We average about twice during the work week and then another 2-3 times on the weekend. So around 4-5 times a week. But right now, he's at training for a month... so 0 times this month... bummer.
Usually 2-3 times a week except when aunt flow is visiting, but we make up the following week lol.
Some stretches we have it 4 or 5 times a week and then when I start feeling run down (shift worker) we may not for a week.

I'd say 2-3 on average. We are just always so tired with taking care of family, work, and planning right now. When things are calm, it goes up to daily!
2 or 3 times a week. We live together but we work opposite shifts so I don't see him Monday through Friday. It would be more if we saw each other more often.
Well I don't think I count for this since I'm 8mths pregnant and being pregnant jacks EVERYTHING up, but we're at 1-2 times a week pretty consistently and sometimes 3 or 4 in a weekend (that's kinda rare though). Really depends on how comfortable I've been feeling.
Well, DH and I are in a temporary LDR while he's in school for the Navy. So, normally, it's not anything. However... when we are together... we make up for it. ;-)
We're at about 2-3 times a week. We've never been a 'daily' couple, and always hovered around 3x a week :)
2-4 times a week. I swear if we had the same schedule, I would do it every night before bed (at least!) Right now we only see eachother 3 nights a week because he works over night and I work your standard 9-6. AND we live together!!! Haha so I definitely think it would be more, but looks to me like this is average amount. I sometimes feel like we do have sex nearly enough.
7-8. Every night, sometimes twice on the weekend. I'm lucky I guess!
@amnystik: Bravo to you!! We are at 1 every two weeks. Gah I feel bad, but school keeps me tired. And wedding planning. And the impending bar exam. Sound like excuses? *Quietly leaves the thread* lol
@shambley: Hahaha. Yes, it happens once in awhile. The most we usually have sex is about twice in a day. FI was pretty exhausted though. ;)
Usually every other day during the week, and every day once or twice during the weekend. I feel bad for SO if we go more than 2 days without LoL.
I voted 2 or less, but it varies. Some weeks it'll be 3-5, but we have weird schedules and sometimes I'm not in the mood or vice versa. He has a lower sex drive than I do, and he also tends to be "up" for it in the early morning when I am SO not. And right now he's dealing with medical issues that prevent it at all :(
We are currently in a LDR, so when we are together, every day! When we are together for extended period of time, it's around 5x per week.
@lawgirl12 I feel you with the bar exam! That was a pretty rough time in my life :-)
But we are about 3-5, depending on how work goes, or if I am tired, or whatnot.
I voted 2-5 but it varies. We go through marathons and hibernations lol Depends on how much work we have during the week.
lol I've noticed the less than 2 crowd has been pretty quiet. I'll admit I'm in that group. We aim for 2 or 3, but it always seems that it just doens't happen. We have a bad habit of not going to bed until we are both ready to sleep
I'll admit it, we don't have sex a lot. We are lazy I guess! We will tease and talk and tihnk about it but when it comes time to go to bed we are too tired to do anything but close our eyes. It would definitely behoove our relationship to make a bigger effort in the intimacy department!

lately it's been twice or less a week. :(... but for the longest time we hardly saw eachother during the week (conflicting work schedules) and right now we are in temperary LDR. So I'm hoping it will pick up when he gets home!
We're usually once or twice a week. Sometime just once every other week. It doesn't seem like much but DH is out of town for half of each week which doesn't help. It works for us.

@imageeksowhat: and @Elolith: - I'm with you guys. Once a day, or more, if possible. If we don't get to it once a day, I find I start losing my mojo. Use it or lose it, I guess, so we use it all we can!
It used to be 2-3 nights a week but now it has declined and I cant even remember the last time we did it. Maybe Valentine's Day? He doesnt seem into it anymore and well...I'm not going to bother him about it, I guess.
Actually, thanks for posting this. Curious about what real people consider normal and I imagine may of the posters are 20-something years old. FI & I have been together over 3 years and have lived together over 2. We used to be 2-3x/week, and it's slowly moved to 1x/week to 10 days. I'm 15 years older than he is, have a pretty high sex drive and everyone assumes that since I'm with this 37 yr old we're at it all the time, but we have some extenuating circumstances. He has MS - fortunately a very mild presentation - but he has a fatigue factor that prevents sex more than once a day and many nights he's exhausted by the time we get to bed since he's up for work at 4:30 am. He also works full time and has gone back to college so he has plenty of stress and fatigue much of the time. We have plenty of intimacy, and sex is incredible when we have it so I think this works for us. Like everything else, I think these things fluctuate with circumstances.
I'm in the process of sorting out some BC issues right now so it's really infrequently. Once we figure that out and things go back to normal It'll probably be back at 3-4 times a week.
Married for 7 years... Uh sometimes 3x a week sometimes once every other week! Hate to sound like a old lady but kids seem to change it for a bit! Lol I remember when I cried cause we stopped doing it every day
He'd want to do it every day if it were up to him. It kind of varies...somewhere between 3-4/wk.

Ugh. 0-2 per week. And I feel terrible saying that I don't miss it most of the time. But when I *think* about such low frequency, it bums me out. FI would happily have it every day. I am the stereotypically limiting factor, despite no kids and regular work hours. He' sweet about it, but I still feel guilty. And of course, when I do have the urge it's wildly inconvieniet...driving...10 a.m. when the morning rush at work dies down or during boring meetings. But most of the time my brain is just elsewhere.
I keep hearing about this sexual peak for women in their 30s...still waaaaaaaiting...

SO and I work totally opposite schedules, so 5-7 nights a week I'm in bed long before he gets home. He works weekends often, too. So when you only have one night together, it puts a lot of pressure on that one night. What if I don't feel well? What if I'm not in the mood? What if I really want to watch the new episode of Parks and Rec? I say "I" to these things, because like most of you have said: he would be up for it all the time.
