We stuck with one from the start. I loved it completely, I definitely never saw or thought of anything that tempted me to consider switching.

Well, I had a color scheme in mind for fall and then another for winter, but my Fiance didn’t want a wedding either or those times, so I guess those are unofficial.

For my July wedding, I had been thinking sunflowers/yellow because Fiance likes them, but that was more country than I wanted to go, especially since our wedding is already on a farm. So then I went to peachy pink/champagne/ivory with sage green, and I have mostly kept the main colors except I swapped navy for sage because I was afraid the green would blend in too much with nature since it’s outside. And now that I am having a really hard time finding Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses I like, it  may change again to be just plain peachy pink/champagne/ivory, which are the colors I like best anyway, and I might just have black Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. I would probably say those three are my “colors” anyway, so I guess it hasn’t really changed too much since we decided on a July wedding.

(My engagement is also 2 years, so I think you might be onto something with fine tuning as we go…)

I’ve revised, added to, completely changed, laughed, cried all in the same day over all things wedding related. I have 6 months left and it feels like I’m going to be legally insane by then. I’m still unsure about so many details. Your 19 months will really fly by. Good luck with your planning!

I changed my color scheme once because I bought a blush colored dress and the yellow and gray didn’t match. A lot of the decor changes are in my head though and they aren’t driving my Fiance or BMs crazy, but I might be going slightly insane! haha. Right now, I’m deciding between round tables or rectangular, runners or overlays, dark or light. I’m sure next week there will be something else I can’t make up my mind on!

I never changed. I was too lazy, once I started buying/planning/diying, there was no way I was going to do everything over again. Plus I loved our theme and colors!

So far 3 times but luckily it’s all been in my head. Ours is a 19 month engagement also, so it’s been easy to play around with different ideas. Luckily I’ve found a color through alfred angelo that I am in love with so I know I’ll be doing the bridesmaid dresses in that color but there have just been so many ideas that I like.

Three times, I think. We wanted to do a Steampunk wedding at first, but it was just too expensive. Then, we thought of vintage with a peacock theme on the side, but I’m tired of seeing so damn many peacock weddings. Now we’re just doing a simple, classy 40s/50s vintage vibe.

Once we decided on the venue we didn’t really change the colors at all. They’re plum, sage green, ivory, and gold. The venue is mostly decorated in green, ivory, and gold, which makes the decorating we would have had to do a lot easier considering it’s almost already done for us!

I have changed twice so far with 8 months left til wedding! We had a longer engagement, I started with pink & kelly green, then went black, ivory, and pink, now I am finally stopping at black, ivory, and green. My fiance likes that one the best, so I guess I got lucky!

I think you start off by wanting it to look a certain way and then reality sets in……. like, when I found the venue I want I realized that the colours I originally wanted wouldn’t work for it (it’s black and white damask with red and I had wanted a “somewhere over the rainbow” wedding theme – yeah, that would NOT have worked).  I was looking for a pink dress but ended up with a pale taupe (dark ivory) one so AGAIN, I think the colours might have to change to accomodate it.  My boyfriend really likes steampunk too but I find it a bit too trendy now.  I liked it before it had a “label” on it.  When it was just “neat old stuff and gears and things”.

I think the colours and theme will just come together on it’s own as I find and buy more things for the wedding……
