Twice for me too! Well, three if you count gearing up for my first MOH duty in July!
Once! Was the MOH for my older sister's wedding last June.
Just once. Inwas moh for my best friend almost three years ago which was whenI stumbled on the bee :)
I was a MOH once, and Bridesmaid once, and flower girl 3 times when I was younger. Looking forward to be a Bride for my own wedding in MAY. Then I will be a bridesmaid again in 2013 for my friends wedding. :)
just once! though i was an understudy for a friend with a pregnant BM who wore a similar size.
MOH once and a bridesmaid twice. Two brown dresses and one burnt orange/cinnamon and my dresses will be brown...guess my friends and I have the same taste.
Twice for me! First time when I was younger, I think 17? Second time was last year. And flower girl like 8 times, I was the first grandchild for both sides so my aunts and uncles would use me as their flower girl LOL!
Never. I was a flower girl twice when I was young. There is a major generation gap in my family and I am much younger than my cousins, so that worked out pretty well to be a flower girl. I don't have any sisters, and my best friend chose other friends on her wedding and now says she "regrets" it. Well obviously she didn't mind it at the time. :-|
MOH 3x :) 2 of those were super close together (September 2011 and November 2011). Let's just say I was a busy bee :P
Never! But I will be in 2 1/2 years when my sister gets married!
5 times. My mom and dad got remarried (to different people) on the same day. Stood in my dads in teh morning and my moms at night. Then my step sisters. Then my best friends. Then my moms again (my stepdad passed away), desination marriage in Jamaica and then ceremony and reception for family and friends at home.
2 as a kid, 3 in my adult life. Working toward 27 dress status. ;)
Once. But none of my sibs have been married yet, so I'm looking at 3 potential shifts, LOL. It's a lot of work though, I really wouldn't mind just being a reader :-)
Never, but I told my brothers girlfriend that when my brother proposes and they get married I will be the MOH, after she asked me!!! Ahhhhhhh! What was I thinking!!!!! Oh well. I want to help her.
My best friends are identical twins. I was in one twin's wedding a few years back, and I'll be in the other's wedding come May.
Another friend asked me to br a bridesmaid, but married in an impromptu living room ceremony due to a family member's illness.
Finally, another close friend is marrying in the same month as I am this year. We absolved one another of bridesmaid duties, but I offered to officiate her wedding for her.
So, two in reality and two in spirit.
Never! Back when my brother got married the first time, the groom chose male attendants and the bride chose female ones, so I was off the list. At my sister's wedding, I was playing mother of the bride, because our parents didn't attend. At my brother's second wedding, all of the attendants were children of the bride or groom. And since I'm now 58, I tend to doubt I will ever be a bridesmaid.
@2dBride: You never know right??? My mom and dad just renewed their vows in a big she-bang, and my moms oldest BM was 54.
I forgot about people being flower girls! I never thought about that! I have always wanted to be one, but no one in my family got married during my FG eligibility years :-)
I have been a bridesmaid seven times -- all before I became the bride.
ETA: I should note that I was maid of honor three of those times, which made it a bit challenging for me when I had to pick mine. I decided to have two matrons of honor -- my two closest friends.
Three times and now I"M the bride! Guess 3 times really is a charm!
Zero.
Although I don't have any sisters, I'm the only girl on one side of the family, and the first of my friends to get married -- so there's hope yet!
None :( I'm an only child and the first of 6 grandkids to get married. I'm sister-close to my cousin, and she's my MOH - and I'd guess I'll be hers too.
never have been one.
Well, unless you count when I was a BM for my sister, but her engagement fell through.
I have actually participated in the ceremony 3 times, I was going to be a BM in a wedding that was canceled, and I plan to be one again this spring. I was begining to feel like 27 dress and it finally became my turn. But I knew all the hard work I put into all my friends and sisters weddings would be returned to me....we will see.
Twice so far (but I have other friends / family that aren't married yet where I may be a BM in the future too).
I've also been a guest book attendant once and a program distributor once.
6! And that's nothing compared to my best friend who has been in 15!
@Vegas Pug: 15! Holy Cow! That is insane. A real life 27 dresses
I've been in 5, MOH twice. 3 of the weddings were within 3 months, with two of them being 6 days apart.
None :( In my circle of friends, everyone was either married before I met them or isn't going to be married for quite a while. So I'm sort wondering if I'll ever be one, sadly... I'm an only child.
