Just curious about how many times/week you guys get it on and how long you have been together.
Is it satisfactory for the both of you or would you like more or less? would your guy like more or less?
My husband and are on 2 schedules. I prefer night time, but once he hits the pillow he's OUT!
And he prefers Mornings, but I feel so yucky in the morning and I have dragon breath, and I have to pee, and I just need a few more minutes of sleep!
So the weekends is really our Happy Medium.
Although if we were to have sex, lets say on a Tuesday. We joke around that we are Wild And Crazy kids, having sex on a school night.
It used to be a lot more often, but we've calmed down a bit. My BC has tamed me. I was a million times more horny than he was at one point. He seriously couldn't keep up with me. Now that we're both working, we're both tired a lot. It sucks, but we still enjoy our sex life very much so.
We're lucky if we get to once a week. We have a son, and we currently co sleep so it makes for some creative thinking, but we are to get it done at least twice a month. It certainly isnt ideal, but the alternative would be to not live all together at the moment, and that would definitely suck even more!
We've been together for almost 8 years, he lives 2hours away and can only visit in the weekends so it's 2.. luckly 3 times a week, 0 if we're really unlucky.
If it weren't for our opposite work schedules I'd push for 4. But right now we really only around enough for twice. Sigh...
We live with my mother. Our bed is above hers. Prior to living with her we had a very healthy sex life....may unhealthy (2-3x a day...we were crazy at first), but NOW we have sex practically never. Long story short: she found condom wrappers in the trash and spazzed out, so now we just don't do it. Keep in mind we've been together for 3 years and hes 25 and I'm 23. Annoying!
@claireos: That's our problem as well - opposite schedules.
Normally 2-3x a week. Depends on whats going on. We've been together for almost 27yrs. We have to be careful. We have custody of our 3yr old granddaughter and she's very sneaky... She hasn't walked in on us yet, but she knows we aren't sleeping during "gma/gpa nap time" ;) In fact she lectured us about it last week.
I voted 4-5 but it would be more if we were living together :P We do it morning/day/night so we have no set times really. We have been together for just over 4 years.. For the first 2 years he wanted MORE sex all of the time and I couldn't be bothered lol. The second 2 years I always want more and he can't be bothered lol.. So we def haven't found our happy medium because our timetables keep changing. Hopefully when we are living together we will sort out our sex roster lol
we only see each other on weekends - so from fri - sunday we usually have sex at least 1ce/day. because of all the days in between where we dont see each other, we are all over each other on the weekends but i worry what things will be like once we live together and see each other every day. i hope that drive doesn't go away.
I can't really vote. We don't do it 2 times a week, once a week or three times a week every week. Its always different. Sometimes its twice a week sometimes it can be 4 times a week! It just depends. :-) It always evens out!
We do it about 2-3 times a week. I'd prefer to do it more :D but my husband has to "be in the mood" or otherwise it's just not fun. He'll sometimes get in the mood for me but I know he's just not there and I usually don't end up enjoying myself much. He's kind of sleep deprived and stressed so that really affects his libido. But it could be worse so I can't complain!
We probably get busy about 2x a week, except the week I ovulate, and then it's more like 4-6x.
ETA: We're both happy with the frequency. If one of wants it more often, the other rarely refuses the advances ;)
Depends on the week and about our work schedules but I'd say 3-4 times/week. My fiancé would have sex everyday if I was agreeable, sometimes I'm just too tired, or have to get up super early for work.
since we live so far from each other it feels like we should make the most of our time together and not waste a single day NOT having sex, lol
We also typically see each other on weekends (well his weekends) so we try 1-2 times and lately its been 3 times. If I had it my way it'd be everyday or more! That also USED to be how he was... used to be 4 times a day but he was also only 32 when we met and this is almost 9 years later.
2-3. We work different schedules (I'm on 2nd shift, he's on 3rd) so sex is usually saved for his nights off after I get home from work, or in the morning after he gets home, assuming my daughter hasn't woken up yet! :) My daughter spends one week per month at her father's house. We have sex probably upwards of 7 times during that week :) Honestly we'd both like it every day, but it's just not possible.
I said usually 2-3 times a week, usually only on the weekends when we're both off from work. If it were up to me, it be just about everyday. I'm definitely the hornier of the two of us and it sucks at times :(
depends on the week but i would say we average 5 times a week sometimes more sometimes less- if its a rainy/cold weekend and we stay in that might make the average higher ;)
i just stated charting and marking when we do it - its kinda neat to see it that way.
we have been married 9 months -together for 3 years.
Normally about 3 x a week, but since the wedding it's been more like 7x a week. We've been having so much sex and enjoying it that I skipped my period and just kept taking straight birth control so that my period didn't interrupt the sex.... TMI I know.
@PinkMagnolia: Whoo hoo! lol Do you think the fact that the wedding stress/planning is over is a big reason to your increase?
@RR Well my DH is pretty conservative and I think he just likes having "married sex" more. He's even refered to it as "legit sex" now.
@PinkMagnolia: Legit Sex - love that! That's very cool, because a lot of relationships are very heated and have a lot of sex at the beginning. I think it's awesome that as a married couple, it's increased for you both!
He works away during the week meaning we only have the weekend together, so if on just one night one of us it too tired / ill / busy ect is basically means that we are left with once a week. sad face.
Haven't seen my FI since July, we're long distance he's 1/C at USNA, so like never haha. BUT he comes home on wednesday night for 3 days before he has to go back :) :) :) Can't wait to see him.
It used to be 2-3 but now it's more like 1, maybe 2 if we're lucky. We're both too busy to get busy :(
I think if we lived together it'd be closer to 5+ times a week because I would maul him lol
We've been together 8 years and on average will do it around 2 times a week- sometimes more, sometimes less. We work during the week so most often it's on the weekends but if we're not too tired and get to bed early we'll get some in during the week!
it depends a bit. FI has completly screwed his sleep schedual so he will come to be feeling frisky and i will have been asleep for a couple hours so needless to say its kinda hard to get me in the mood at that point.
I guess the frequency of our sexual activity goes through cycles. Right now I'm fairly sick, he's stressed, and our schedules are a little overlaping so we're not really having a lot of any kind of sex. We've talked about it, and even though the frequency has greatly decreased, we're both doing okay and not really bothered by it.
We fall more in the 3-5 times a week category. It just depends. We've always had a really high drive. Both of us. Usually what slows us down is if we get the kids to bed later than planned or if it's past like 9:30 on a weekday..Lol I know lame..But I can't stay up when my little ones get up so early!
P.S. We've been together 5 1/2 years. When we first met it was closer to every night and sometimes multiple times..Hints our two children

I think if you asked him he would still prefer 7 days a week but would keep it to once a day. Sometimes we still make love once in the am and once in the pm on a really good weekend. :)
I would say about 5 days. Honestly, I've just not been able to get enough some weeks.
I voted 2-3 times, but it depends on the week. I am really cyclical and pretty much have exactly 2 weeks a month where I can't get enough and 2 where I feel practically asexual. This week, unfortunately, is the latter :(
At the beginning, it was anything up to 10 times a week, as we saw each other 6 nights a week. Now, we only see each other maybe 4 nights a week due to my work patterns, plus we found sex declined after around the 2.5 year mark (been together 6 years now). So, I voted 2-3, as this is probably average; it can sometimes be more, sometimes much less; but we usual have some form of sexual contact 3-5 times a week (eg oral) (I can't always manage full sex due to my endo).
We're both happy with this, which I think is the most important thing :-)
This is interesting, I thought people would be doing it more. Does getting married influence the frequency? We've been at about once a day for 4.5 years.
