my brother and his wife got engaged on valentines day... so i have hope for some bees!

my fi surprised me with a couples massage today, just what we needed to destress 2 weeks before the wedding! tonight we have our tasting.

I've never been a huge valentine's day person, but we got engaged on v-day so we celebrate it as our engage-aversary!

We decided to skip it this year... and its turning out to be my favorite v-day ever! Probably has something to do with this being our first weekend to relax alone in our new house... but so far we've:

Saturday:

cleaned the whole house together

played in the snow

napped

gone to trader joe's and bed bath and beyond

gotten max and erma's take-out

rented Paper Heart on video-on-demand

Sunday:

made breakfast together

worked on hanging some stuff on our walls

later we plan to watch Dexter and make dinner together :)

So really nothing amazing or unusual but I seriously couldn't be happier with our weekend!

I keep telling him not to spend money on my this year. We're getting married in two months and there are better things to spend money on. We'll still go out for a casual dinner and he already "surprised" me by getting me flowers.

We got engaged on Valentine's Day 2009!!!!! It's the most romantic day of the year! Full of showing your affection and love for one an other getting each other presents doing nice things for each other.

Our Valentine's day was sooo romantic. My FI had the idea instead of only celebrating it on Sunday (2/14/10) that we would devote an entire weekend and make it a Valentine's Weekend.

On Friday we went to have dinner at a very nice restaurant with our church.

Then on Saturday we went to the mall and picked out our wedding rings I got an engagement ring up grade ;-) Then we ate lunch, then we went to play miniature golf, then we at dinner, then we went to watch the movie Avatar (which is an excellent movie loved it).

Then finally on Sunday the actual Valentine's day we went to church, had lunch, I needed a couple of hours nap but then I got up and went to the grocery store. As my gift I cooked him chicken enchiladas. As his gift he bought me a Valentine's day card with a gift card to Burlington's Coat Factory and a teddy bear!

This was literally our second best Valentine's day ever!!!

We got engaged yesterday! He took me to Napa Valley for the weekend and got down on one knee on our last day of the trip :) So I guess you can call that a V Day (weekend) proposal!
