just wanted to say thanks for sharing your pro's opinion....i was thinking 5 too.
this has been on my mind for the past couple of days.....
It depends on the look you want. We're doing low centerpieces on 8-10 seater round tables in a tent, and our florist insisted that 5 was the minimum and 9 votives would be his ideal to really fill the tent with romantic candlelight, especially since we're relying on candles to set a lot of the mood in the tent. Our votives will be clear glass though. So, it depends on the look you want, but I would consider upping the number. If you don't want to decorate that many votives, you could do a mix of clear, no ribbon votives and votives with ribbon.

I'm having a tented wedding with standard round tables seating 8-10 people. I'm decorating little, assorted votives with ribbons in our wedding colors and also having low centerpieces of garden blooms, 1 vase per table. My question: how many votives should I put on each table? 1 per person? 1 for every 2 people? I love the look of candlelight but I don't want to make the tables too busy. Any advice?
