I'm the worst offender. Not counting a dress I bought and returned the next day at the very beginning of wedding planning, I currently have three dresses. It's four days before my wedding and I still haven't made up my mind 100% about which one to wear. My dream dress would probably be a combination of the three. Have the embroidery of the first, silhouette of the second, and fit me as well the third one does.
Dress1 - Lazaro:
Dress2 - Vera Wang:
Dress3 - Romona Keveza:
@meliss: What happened to the Marisa?? I must have missed the Romona Keveza thread, haha. Seriously, you look SO GOOD in all three dresses! I REALLY like the RK one! Are you at Mary Linn's in that pic??
meliss: I'm right there with you! I have 3 as well. I ordered two before I found the one I love (on was an ivory bridesmaid dress though). However I ordered "The One" after the other two and still got it before either came in.
I like to have options! Plus I think I'll just shorten the bridemaid dress and make it my reception or rehersal dress.
Hey @ddubzz, I never ended up buying the Marisa. I bought the Vera and the RK instead. The RK was my dirty little secret, I didn't post that till couple days ago :) When I was hating my Lazaro I went back to a few of the salons and I was in such panic I wasn't in the right frame of mind...Yes, that's Marylinn's in the photo. The designer was there for a trunk show (guy in the photo) and he talked me into buying that dress. He convinced me that they could do a super rush order and get a brand new dress in time. When I came home I cried thinking I made a dumb purchase again because I wanted a ballgown and the dress is so slim and has no train. So I bought the Vera as well, and put the RK up for sale. But the dress did arrive in time, and for a reception dress it looks really pretty. They botched the alterations (again!) though so it's cutting circulation to my chest. None of the seamstresses seem to get that my boobs are a different size than my waist. I pick it tomorrow, we'll see what happens...
I've purchased 3.. a White One gown I tried on in a bridal salon.. everyone loved it on me, it was very flattering and pretty. Just got it a month ago..
My TTD, $90 for ebay..
Then my "dream" dress, a Monique Lhuillier gown, never worn, purchased for a steal! I'll be selling the other two.. :)
Thanks for this thread, it makes me feel better :)
I bought 2. I have one in my closet I am trying to sell, and I get to pick up the real deal in a couple weeks. = )
I feel a bit better about this now since I'm thinking of trying to find another gown...I'm trying on my gown this weekend to make sure but I know when going into find the dress what I wanted but came out something different! I might go try on a couple more but I feel like I've tried everything but haven't found "the dress" that I picture i my mind! Either that it doesn't exist or that it's way out of my price range!
I'm thankful for this thread too:) I try not to talk about how many dresses I went through coz I'm ashamed. I was a 3 dress bride- ended up selling them all and by the time I have a dress it would have been my 4th!
My dream dress was a Monique Lhuillier which I always knew I loved and was the first dress I went and ordered right after I got engaged (without consulting anyone in my family). Unfortunately my very conservative family was not happy that the back of the dress had a keyhole that exposes my bare back (meaning no bra) all the way down to my waist. So the options were to throw a shrug over it, get it altered to have no hole or get rid of the dress.
After that I went to sample sales and bought dresses that were ok-at-the-moment and were great deals. I didn't love any and went through another 2 dresses which I bought and sold afterwards...
phew! I feel better now:)
Why am I the only one to post pics? :) I wanna see other three dress bride pics!
Okay, here's my deliema! Okay yes, I went shopping again today and tried on some more dresses! I didn't like most of them but I did fall in love with a Sottero and Midgley Dress:#ASM3292. I LOVED IT! It's totally different style than the one I have. I'll be trying on my dress this Saturday so hopefully I'll love it then I can stop thinking about all these dresses! Here are my two dresses I love!
I wish I could take a picture of the other gown but the store wouldn't let me! Not only that but they gave me the wrong name of the dress!! They've done that 3 times now to me...that's so you can't search for it unless you spend hours looking for it! My friend had the same experience with them...
I ordered one online, hated it and sent it back before buying my gown. Theres one I REALLY loved but its sold only online unless I go to Ohio, forget it.LOL,HERE IT IS THOUGH
I bought one, after trying on over at least 30. Not exactly in my budget to buy multiple "sales final" wedding dresses. :)
I'm a one dress bride....
However... I also saw so many dress regret posts on the bee that once I "said yes" to my dress.... I waited a few weeks... I saw more dresses.... I waited until it was just no doubt in my mind on my dress. I tried on probably around 60, lol.
Even then, I had a few worries.... I still loved my dream dress which was a justin alexander ball gown....

and I bought a mermaid....

But, the dress came in, I tried it on, and there was NO DOUBT she was the one! ;-)
I MAY.... and that's a very much MAY wind up getting a get away dress... but not another full gown. My dress has buttons to undo all the way down and is pretty heavy :-)
I purchased about 10 dresses and sold them back on ebay because they were not returnable. My mom and fiance were not happy because I lost money on all of them. I finally found my dress and am very happy with it. After buying dresses all year, I found my dream dress 2 weeks before my wedding.
Wow, how can people afford to buy multiple dresses? As a completely broke grad student, one moderately-cheap dress is already more money than I literally HAVE! Those of you who've purchased 3+ dresses-- were you given an option of returning the dresses, or do you just happen to have the money to spend? I'd much rather take the time to make a wise purchase and not an impulse buy, and look for the best deal available to avoid wasting money that I'd rather spend on another part of the wedding :)

Just wondering how many brides out there have bought more than one dress! Did you ever find the dream dress after buying more than one dress? Can't decide on a dress, post them here as well!
