I am curious what percent of people will pick the chicken meal option versus the beef.
Pan seared breast of chicken stuffed with caramelized onions
Fontina cheese, breadcrumbs, spinach, proscuitto and a Pinot Grigio jus
Charâ€Grilled Filet Mignon
Served with a Port-wine demi-glace
We will also have a vegetarian option.
Is it generally 50/50? The beef option is more expensive, obviously, so I am just trying to get an estimate.

I’m not sure, but I’m guessing it really varies by your group of people. I have a feeling that a majority of our family would choose chicken or vegetarian.

I am wondering the same thing…we are having a grilled lemon chicken and a filet mingon…my dad keeps saying “I hope people pick chicken” because it is cheaper haha 😉

This is my first time planning a wedding, but I’ve attended a fair number of “corporate” banquets, and from what I can tell if steak is an option, most people will choose that. Pretty much for the reason you stated above… steak if more expensive, and hard to make as well at home. I would say most of the time about 75% of the people will choose steak from what I’ve seen.

We have the choice of chicken dish or prime rib, and I thought for sure everyone would be choosing prime rib. More people actually picked the chicken dish, I think because it was a little different and not the norm. I think it does depend on your guests though and what kind of crowd they are.
