We’re doing self-serve kegs, wine, and “signature drink”.
I want real wine glasses, but am really unsure of how many to buy.
There will be ~130 guests and of course not everyone will be drinking wine. But, do you think the drinkers will use the same glass or get a new one each time?

Will your signature drinks also be served in the wine glasses? I don’t think your caterer will allow your guests to reuse their glasses (in many cities this is against health code). Depending on your crowd, you should estimate 2-4 drinks per guest and go from there.
Is there an option to rent wine glasses? We rented different types of wine glasses (so our signature drinks, there were 3, were in distinguishable glasses) and champagne glasses from our caterer.

@donnaaries: Thanks for the reply!
We won’t have a caterer, we are self-catering so that’s not an issue. I actually was thinking about this… we went to eat at Arby’s yesterday and even though the cups they give you have lids and straws, you refill the one you already have….
The wine will be dispensed from boxes (yes, we’re getting wine boxes, lol!) so that might make it more “health conscious”.
For the signature drink, we will use the nice thick clear plastic cups… same ones we are using for the kegs.
I got a quote to rent wine glasses and they were 40 cents – $1 each.
We are having a pretty rustic, vintage-y wedding, so I plan on collecting a bunch of them at thrift stores where they are 25 cents each!
