I would buy WAY more than you think you need, and then just return what’s unopened.  I would rather do that than run out of booze.

Sorry, don’t know what a “Handle of Liquor” is… a US or Regional Term I perhaps am not familiar with.

@Barbiestylez:  You should be able to return unopened bottles. So go crazy!

@Barbiestylez:  I hear you… I DEFINITELY plan on ordering extra red wine, champagne and vodka for mine- because those are my 3 favorite things (and most of my friends’ too!)

Hi @Barbiestylez:  Thanks… learned something new.

I always thought that was a “Half-Gallon” (roughly 60 US Oz).

Lol, I’m not even sure if we have 60 oz bottles in Canada… I think the biggest common measure we have up here we call “a Forty” (cause it is 40 Imperial Ounces)

@Barbiestylez:  purchase at Costco. Pretty good deals and you can return whatever you didn’t open. My mom is watching Safeway for wine sales and will order cases for an additional discount but theyre planning to get the wine they like so whatever is leftover they are keeping. Costco for beer and hard alcohol.

We are allowed to bring all of ur booze too so I have already started to stockpile. For 125 guests we’re doing

Approx 200 beers, 15-18 750mm bottles of liquor (mostly vodka and whiskey, with a couple rum and gin), 18 bottles of Prosecco (from Trader Joes 6.99/ea), 2 cases of red wine, and 2 cases white wine . If you are having a bartender, consider geting smaller liquor bottles (not handles) as those get heavy and difficult to poor all night.

Surprisingly, Costco is not always the best place to buy booze. They do sell 24-packs of beer at good prices, so we will be getting that there. But for liquor, I’ve found grocery store sales to be the best.

BevMo 5 cent sale is great for the wine. And you can schedule wine tastings with them for free.
