Give this a shot. It seemed pretty good except that it didn't include tiquila! Booo!
Woah woah woah... REal Simple has a website. Why didn't I figure this out earlier?
That Real Simple one was brilliant, thank you!! I tried the evite one but I felt like it was more geared towards parties and not weddings and I don't think it included champagne...Anyone else got suggestions? Real Simple says 30 bottles of champagne for 150 guests, so I'll probably get 40 bottles for 175 guests...
Well, we had about 120 guests with probably about 40 heavy drinkers.
24 bottles of white wine
2 double barrels of red (we served chicken at dinner)
1 keg bud light
2 handles vodka
1 handle gin
various mixers and schnapps for the drinks
We ran out of hard liquor and beer. We only had 1 bottle of red wine and 12 bottles of white wine left. We had an open bar from 7-11pm...we didn't serve champagne though.
Not sure if that helps, but that's what our group went through.
Oh hey, just found this too. I think they over estimate wine and champagne, but it is an overall help stocking a wedding bar! Since I'm going this route too, this is helpful!
I always say, be over-supplied! It may be a hassle later on, but it would be better to be able to return your unused stuff than running out in the middle of the party! Sounds like your party is gonna be fun, TM!
I know in Ontario we can return unopened bottles of liquor, maybe you have that option too?
Here's another calculator, though it also doesn't have champagne:

I would suggest another online calculator that I find to be more accurate because you can enter in more variables.

Anyone got a recommendation for a website that I can calculate how much alcohol to buy for my wedding? Or can you suggest a break-down based on what you're doing (or did?)
We're having 175 guests, the majority of whom are drinkers, probably about 50 or so on the heavy side...
I want to buy the champagne right before NYE bc all the budget buster suggestions say that it goes on sale on the 30th but I can't figure out how much to get...
Thanks hive!
