I am curious what do you All will or did pay. On one hand I think… That could be a used car or vacation And on the other hand I think it is my only wedding dress at my only wedding and I will get what I want!

@soinlove79: I actualyl went into the salon with intentions of purchasing a replica from Jasmine’s Bridal for around $700. However, when I went in and tried on this gorgeous $3k dress and they offered me the sample for $1152, I couldn’t say no! I don’t think I overspent at all. It really just depends on where you’re at financially, what you’ve saved up, etc. I paid for it myself and had been saving for about 2 years. I think $1500 would have been my cap though.

I got lucky and found a dress I loved at the Running of the Brides for 250. I probably would have paid up to 2k otherwise.

Mine was $800, plus $300 for alterations, so I can’t really vote since I don’t see an option for between $1000-$1500.

@soinlove79: You can get some amazing things if you search in unusual places. I would never have paid more than 500, but I didn’t search a single traditional wedding dress site, except to get an idea of shapes and things, and I never went to a boutique or anything like that.

My budget was about $1200. I ended up paying $385 for the dress, $250 for alterations… 🙂

I will not pay over $500 (and that’s pushing it a bit). I don’t see a reason to pay so much for what will probably be polyester (bad for my skin/body) that I will only wear for a few hours. There are some amazing looking dresses for much more money, but that’s just not for me!

Mine was just over $1100.

I paid $695. My budget was about $900 so I think I did pretty well!

I was hoping to be in the 1k-1500 range… my dress was 2k. Ugh. But it took forever to find something that I loved, so whatever.

I paid $200 for my dress.

I don’t fit in any of your categories, but I paid $1100

My budget was $1,000 including alterations. It may have been more had my mother not offered to buy it.
My final choices were an Alfred Angelo (Rapunzel) for a little under $1,000 with free alterations and a David’s Bridal dress for $450. I bought the David’s dres and spent hundreds on alterations (taken in, hem, bustle with 5 straps, adding cups, buying a crinoline, sewing the crinoline into the dress and placement of a belt) but am 100% happy with my choice.

If all goes well, my dress will be $500. I refuse to pay anything over that, as alterations will be pricy anyways. It’s one day you will wear this dress, I can’t stomach paying much more than that.
