I just ordered the paper today for our invites, and my graphic designer friend is helping me design them. Including more than enough paper, envelopes, and printer ink, I’ll spend about $2.50 per invite (I got all recycled paper, but no textural elements beyond that). I know I’m probably spending less than I would for a custom professional design, but likely more than I would for store-bought. It just made me curious to see what others are spending, and what they’re getting for that price.
This is just for the invitation suite itself, including envelopes, RSVP cards, etc. But not including postage.

I made my step brothers invitations, pocketfolds with invite and rsvp card inside. It cost about $50 per 75 invites and still have to make 75 more.

I bought 90 from Michaels for $60.00. I used the 50% off coupon for them. They are actually nicer than I expected them to be- They are about .66 cents each. But I may add some other stuff to them.

@Bostonsmom: It sounds like you’re doing a lot for not much money, I’m really impressed. Unfortunately I have no design skills, nor existing crafting supplies, so I have to pay for everything. Of course, come to think of it, I had to buy way more paper than I needed, so it’s really probably closer to $1.60/invite, but I’ll use the rest for other paper projects. And I had to spend that money regardless.
