The one FI wants is $500, more than I expected to spend, but since he'll have it FOREVER I supposed that is a small price to pay.
I spent $450 but it's worth well over a grand. I was ok spending up to $1500 for white gold. After all, he spent a LOT more on mine! We girls get off easy =]
I spent $1200. It's platinum and yellow gold. He feels guilty but like ejs4y8 said, he spent a lot more on mine, why doesn't he deserve to be spoiled a bit too? ;)
Mr. Bobby's was about 392 i think. totally reasonable and not anywhere near what my engagment ring cost. (which was actually a big shocker for me) we both love his ring!
I have a wholesale jewler that is going to do a 5mm platinum simple comfort band for about $500-$600. Platinum will wear better over time. I thought about 14K white gold to save money, but I learned that over time, you have to have it re-coated with rhodium to keep the silver color and that costs about $75. So I just want to get the good stuff.
If I didn't have that amazing deal, etsy.com has some amazing rings.
I think I'm gonna suck it up and go with a platinum ring. After all, he did drop a wad of $$$ on my ring. It's only fair. But still, ouch. It's gonna be like $1,500 I think. Maybe we'll shop around a bit, but I kind of want to get it at the same place he is getting my wedding band (and where we got my e-ring) and buy the rings when we are there together.
My husband's was about $1500 - it's a Scott Kay ring made from Palladium.
My fiance's was about $500. It is by Art Carved and I absolutely love it.
My Fiance's was about $400. I felt bad since mine is WAY more, but he's not into jewlery anyway.
My husband's was $700, but I went with palladium instead of platinum to make it a little cheaper. And his ring is 1/3 the cost of my whole ring set.
We havent bought it yet but we budgeted around $600, I kinda guaged by what he would like on Bluenile.com he just wants something white gold and simple, hopefully we can stay in budget!
I am also getting my FIa Scott Kay ring in Palladium! His will be about $1600. This is a lot compared to the first ring he saw and liked which was only $500 but I figure if he is going to wear it forever than I want him to love it. Besides - if I can rock almost$10,000 on my ring finger there is no reason I can't spend 1600 on his.
I spent $1400 on my FI's ring. It's Platinum, and detailed. It's beautiful, and he absolutally loves it, so I don't care how much it is! He spent a lot of money on me. :)
We haven't purchased yet but looked at a few. FH isn't that big into ring styles, he just wanted something plain and simple. The ones that caught his eye were a few hundred dollars - works for me!
$1100 - its white gold with diamonds
But you get what you want to spend in it right? you can certainly find beautiful rings for the prices he wants and you want as well!
$320 includes shipping. i think it's a little pricey for a Tungsten, but not sure.
Since my FI is a dr. and washes his hands a lot (and loses things in general...) we are getting him something classic but cheap. Ie, no platinum. We were just quoted 299 for a white gold/yellow gold ring. That way if he loses it we won't be crying!
FI wedding band costed a little over $1,000. It's a platinum band with slanted edges.
We just priced them this past weekend and it looks like it's going to be between $300-$500. He just wants a plain yellow gold band.
I just picked up FI's today. He got a very simple Tungsten band and it was just what he wanted. It only cost $235 with the lifetime replacement, cleaning etc.
We found a tungsten for FI for about $50. We didn't spend huge amounts of money on either of our rings since we're both likely to lose them at work.
His ring will be less that $100. He couldn't care less about having anything fancy and is going with a Titanium ring. And well, who am I to say otherwise? =) They're not bad looking either. I actually liked them more than any of the gold ones that I saw. He won't be wearing his ring at work and is not a jewelry person, so, yeah. I tried talking him into a second ring, white gold, but he doesn't care. If he's not going to sweat it, hey, I'm all for it! =)
My FI is a custom home builder so is always doing stuff with his hands so I bought him a rose gold solid band for $320, I didn't want to fork over a chunk of change for something that he might lose on one of his job sites!
custom made to match my engagement ring, his is made of white gold $1200. no diamonds or anything. just some milgraining and engraving.
I think it probably costs more than a typical white gold band because of the labor of the designer. the ring is really fairly simple and the jeweler thought we were nuts for getting matching rings. however, we didn't have a lot of time and he did a great job with the design. just a pain to work with.
We found his 10K white gold milgrain band on ebay for $38 including shipping. We need to have it sized, and it's going to cost twice as much as normal because of the milgrain. So the grand total is $78 including sizing and engraving.
About $900 from bluenile.com... 5mm platinum band with the comfort edge.
We spent about 700 on a two tone (I think just polished differently) 4mm 18 k white gold band. It was worth it! ^_^
My husband never wears jewelry so he wanted a very basic one that was only $75. He seriously would have worn a key ring (yes, as in the thing you put your keys on) if it fit and I hadn't told him he wasn't allowed to be THAT cheap haha.
I told my FI that he could pick anything in the store except a platinum ring.... he chose a ring that was priced at $200 but ended up being on sale for $90..... he works with hands so he did not want something too expensive....
He chose a simple 14k white gold band with milgraining and it cost about $200.
We bought both our rings at weddingringhotline.com, they had the best prices if you don't want anything fancy.
Buying fi a tungsten ring, looking at one that is $250. He is a firefighter and can't wear all the time and when he can i want it pretty indestructible!
We got three rings. A tungsten for under $20, titanium for about $25, and stainless steel for $7. He wanted several rings in case he loses one and to wear it before the wedding to see what fit best and what he felt comfortable with.
He wasn't too picky, but the one I wanted for him was $1995. It's perfect--I'm glad I spent the money for the one I really wanted him to have!
I got him one for around $200. He loves it. I would have been happier to spend more. As your post is a month old, what have you decided to do? If the ring is a good deal or somehow worth that much, get it if you can swing it.
He tried one on the other day that he liked, and it was less than 300 bucks. He likes it, and the price is right....done and done :)
About $450. My wedding band was a lot less, but my engagement ring was way more, so it makes sense for him to spend a little more on his wedding band. Plus he chose a claddaugh to match mine and those were all more expensive than a plain band. I think it's worth it, though.
We spent around $250. I would have spent more, but this was what he wanted so it was what we got.
