bananacar:  Per flower? Gosh, I don’t know! We are having one Hawaiian ceremonial lei (it will probably be over six feet long since FI is 6’1″) at $125, my bouquet is white roses, white calla lilies, white stephanotis, pearl clusters @ $160, 2 bridesmaids that are smaller versions but without the stephanotis @ 60 each, groom boutonier has the calla lily with white stephanotis, 5 boutoniers with just the white calla lilies (all @ $15 each), 2 corsages ($25 each) and a bootonier for my father @ $15. Sooo with tax the price came out to $655.40. Our reception venue is providing centre pieces and our Church doesn’t need anything so it was pretty easy and not too bad in price. Oh and it includes a complimentary throw-away bouquet.

I did DIY garden roses and still paid about $2 a garden rose. I’d say the added stress is worth way more than an extra dollar each!

I personally loved it. It was definitely A LOT of added stress the week of the wedding, but also gave me something to focus on. I used the time the morning before the wedding to be alone and make my centerpieces, same thing morning of with the bouquets. If you are doing DIY for petals and smaller projects, it is definitely doable! My number was a little misleading because 150 of my flowers were carnations for a backdrop, the roses alone were closer to $3 per stem, so I think the deal you are getting sounds great!

Here is a picture of my flowers (courtesy of caketopia cakes – she assembled the blooms on the actual cake).
