@pfinarffle:  As long as you identified with their decor, they’ll probably realize the depth of your connection and the need for a Christmas card.

    I don’t think it’s creepy at all, I think it’s actually very sweet 🙂

I think it depends. We were in contact with the sellers of our house because they let us come in several times with our contractor and designer to take a look at the space. Also, the lady was so sweet and she knew we were getting married the month we closed so she got us a little wedding gift. They are just nice people, nothing creepy about it at all! I even offered to drop off their mail to their new address once or twice.

@pfinarffle:  Aha I see your point! We didn’t have contact with the seller during the purchase of the house but we did between the purchase and the official closing date. I still don’t think it’s weird, it’s kinda thoughtful!

It’s a nice gesture but I think if you’ve never actually met them it might be a bit weird.. And it’s not like they’re people you’re going to send them to every year..

We never met the people we bought our townhouse from. In CA, it’s all handled separately. I figured we’d at least meet them at signing or to get the keys, but nope! ALl agents/title company people.

@pfinarffle:  Yeah, our agent used to work in Boston, and said face to face was standard there, too, and she really missed it. We seriously picked up our keys from the front desk person at the realtor’s office. It was so anticlimatic!! I guess with the bigger boom/bust swings in CA they think it’s better if you aren’t purchasing someone’s house for $300,000 less than they paid 4 years ago and then having to face them giddy with excitement 😉

@mamadingdong:  I just reread my comment, and while it sounds sarcastic, it wasn’t intended to be.
