I bought all the linens since it’s cheaper than renting. They were $700. Centerpieces will end up being $500 or so… that’s pretty much the only big decor we are doing, so I think under $2000 as long as you don’t count all the wasted stuff I changed my mind on a million times…

Venue has alot of decorations and all of the linens so that helps save. But I spent 400 on various centerpieces like lanterns, globe and vases that I wanted. Hoping to resell after and cover cost.

    CardboxCard box- about $35

    Linens- $120 to rent

    Flowers- $1400 for a ton!!

Misc (frames for program and seating chart, table numbers) – $100

We didn’t have a lot of decor. Flowers were more than enough. Our venue is a modern art museum- no decor is really needed.

Outdoor ceremony decor was $500 and inside was $2400, including the many things I did myself.

Every single decor item, total, cost about $650 I believe. That includes signage & the whole bit. But, I also sold some elements of my centerpieces & made back $150. Also, $160 was spent on bath & body works candle that were burned for about 5hrs, so they are mostly still full & I am able to use them in my house (I have 12). I think I did a great job on buying things I knew I could sell  or get use out of in  the future (hence my aversion to anything fresh & floral).

Luckily my home decor taste is pretty much the same as my wedding taste, so I was also able to bring some things from my house that I already owned prior to the wedding to use, like my small artifical ikea plants, & boxwood topiary, to name a few.

My decor was so beautiful & I loved it.

Oh my goodness I would hate to add it up. Our flowers alone were over $8,000.

Then there were our linens, candelabras, crystals, candles, chandeliers, paper decor, table numbers, bird cage card box etc.

I think I spent around $400 for aisle decor, centerpieces, altar arrangements, bouquets, escort cards, menus, programs, signs, etc.  Plus, all of my guests took my centerpieces and my venue wanted to keep my aisle decor, so I didn’t even have much clean up afterwards.

EDIT: linens were included with my venue/catering

@Tallulah_:  About £100, flowers all grown in parents allotment , lanterns from eBay, made 30 puff balls , made guest book/tree from found twigs , got all my family to donate spare fairy lights, vintage lace table cloth from eBay, made bunting fromscraps of material me and my family had left over. We also got lent masses of white muslin which we used to cover everything  with gold roses my mum had made 🙂

Getting married next weekend so I thought I could chime in 🙂 We are renting linens from a vendor who works with our reception venue. They are like $3 a table cloth which is really great for our area. Our centerpieces are mostly provided by the venue. They provided the glass vases and we provided the inexpensive baby’s breath and candles. The flowers are very cheap because they are grown in a garden of a friend of the family. I also made yarn lanterns for the cieling and they are probably <$1 per lantern. I’d say total it was under $500 well enough.
