I already booked with a florist and am second guesing whether it’s a good deal or not. I scaled my wedding down and would be needing less centerpieces. Im wondering if I should ask for the same amount of flowers (and use the other stuff on vignettes and stuff) or if i should ask for a cut on costs as well.
Im getting the following
1 Bridal bouquet
2 Wrist corsages for mothers
3 floral arrangements for tables (gift, guestbook, favor)
The flowers will be a mix of garden roses and other ruffly flowers.
What do you think? What are you getting from your florists and how much will it set you back?

For around $400 we got: 1 bridal bouquet, 1 toss bouquet, 4 BM bouquets, 8 bouts, and 3 wrist coursages.

location is key to this question. cities cost more than suburbs and rural areas.
for reference, i will probably spend $400 on flowers and 100% DIY…. just for the flowers to put it all together. this is in san francisco (very expensive)

I had life flowering plants for centerpieces. Which was under $10 each.
Made my own bouquets and buttnrs. For about $50.
Then we had some extra decorations which was probably an extra $50.

We ended up paying $650 for our florals.
This included my boquet and toss boquet. 3 BM boquets, 4 corsages, 6 bouts, and for our centerpieces 3 bunches of spray roses, 3 bunches of delphinium and a bunch of orange unique roses.
We did also add some grocery store flowers (backdrop deco, memorial table deco, cake table, rose peatals for flower girl, etc) which cost about another $30

We paid under $250 for ours. However, we had just:
- 2 bridal bouquets
- 1 MOH bouquet
- 1 bout
Our ceremony and reception decorations were all nonfloral, except for some freeze-dried rose petals we scattered in various places at the reception.

My mother is adding to this but right now for $1,000, we have church flowers for around the alter and marking pews, 1 bridal, 1 for the toss, 4 bridesmaids, a flower girl basket, 10 bouts, 3 wrists, and flowers for the place card table.

I only got:
- One bridal bouquet for $85
- One MOH bouquet for $65
- Two bouts for $10 each.
I got these from a local florist rather than one who specializes in weddings, in a location that is generally expensive for wedding stuff.

mine will be about 1300:

3 other arrangements – guest book table, escort card table, bar

Here is what I would estimate for your cost
8 centerpieces – $40-$60 each depending on the florist, location, etc. Probably not much lower than $40 each but could be up to $100 depending on intricacy.
1 Bridal bouquet – $100-$150 Splurge here if you can because it will be in all the pictures and its the one set of flowers you will remember.
2 Wrist corsages for mothers – $20 each, again get something nice but simple.
2 BM – $50-$80 – Try to go for something simple but pretty since they will be in pictures
1 MOH – $80-$100 or just do 3 BM bouquets, it probably won’t really matter.
5 boutonnieres – $10-$15 each again, just pick something simple. The cost comes from the labor of making these.
3 floral arrangements for tables (gift, guestbook, favor) – $75-$150 depending on how large etc. Maybe you could use candles or just silk petals for these tables? The gift table and the favor table will have enough on the table anyways. Maybe just another small centerpiece for the guestbook table?

After reading this post, i am freaking about my flower budget!!!
b/c my family requests to have corsages and boutainners for family members.. i guess that’ s what they do in Asian families or something..
so it’s going to 60 corsages/boutianners total! along with the bride, BM, mother and mother in law, etc…
What should I do?
I keep telling my parents I want to DIY, but they said there’s so NO way I could do all this 1 day before! )”:

@dreamrocker13: Don’t they mean immediate family members? As in your siblings, and your FI’s siblings — maybe a few for your favorite uncle, etc. Im Asian too.
I think buts and corsages are the easiest to DIY though! IF you’re dead set on 60 corsages, DIY-ing might be your best bet! Just pick a flower that lasts. OR you could use fabric flowers — some of them actually look nice and romantic!
