I have a sit n stand stroller I believe it was $170 but so worth it.
I have the Graco Snap N Go that goes with the infant car seat and the 2011 Baby Jogger City Mini, City Mini was $199.
I'm going MSRP before taxes, $99 The Joovy Scooter.
I did not want anything big and bulky.
I have the UppaBaby Vista, which I bought for $379 from Zulily. I plan on buying a jogger, as well, but will probably just try to craigslist one, since it seems everyone buys one, but noone uses it; aka lots of good deals on practically brand new stroller.
Mine was a gift, the Inglesina Zippy, but cost around $350. I loved it! Was so easy to use, so sturdy, and had a fully functional 1-handed opening/closing system (a lifesaver when juggling bags/baby/etc).
Ours was Graco Deluxe Stylus-Ben that included stroller and baby car seat for 239.99.
Our jogger retails for about $250, but we'll purchase it w/ a 20% off coupon, so it will probably come out closer to $200.
i have one of the Graco travel systems that comes with the Graco Snugride car seat. I think it was around $169.
@harmonyeee: Ditto, only I think ours was on sale for $150, when we bought it. We didn't really need anything too expensive or fancy, though, since we hardly ever use the stroller. We both prefer to use one of our baby carriers.
We spent $350 on a Baby Jogger Summit XC jogging stroller. We were gifted a travel system with an infant seat (Safety 1st brand) which we used early on.
To do it over I would have gone with a Graco Snugride and the adapter for the jogger, so that we could use the jogger for everything. I hate the travel system stroller, but it was handy to go places without waking DS up by taking him out of the carseat.
We have a used Bugaboo, but we live in NYC so this takes the place of a car because we walk everywhere. The stroller gets several miles a day on it and it was more than worth it for us! I am glad we got one used but now that I know how important it is here, I would have bought a new one if I needed to.
That said, if I lived in the burbs and drove, my stroller of choice would have been the Citi Mini by Baby Jogger or the BOB. The Citi Mini is rugged, easy to close, comfy and the right balance of lightweight and durable. I have a friend who runs with hers although it is just ok for that.
Options for twin strollers are more limited, so we're going with just a stroller frame that's $80-90 (the single option is about $60), that you just plug the infant carseat into. It's the most lightweight and simple option for us. After they're closer to a year, I'd like to get a compact side by side; that will probably cost $2-300.
I got the Graco Tour Sport travel system and it is about $290.
At first I was really against getting a Graco stroller, but this one has an aluminum frame and it's super lightweight and easy to use! (It collapses with the push of a button!)
Originally I got the Beema Q Stroller. Its a $800 stroller over here. And I picked it up on ebay, 6 months old, hardly used for $80. It was a score and I loved it. It served both my kids well. As far as big three wheeler prams go, it was lighter than most and easy to use.
But now my eldest is 4 and my youngest is 18 months, I find it to big and bulky in my car. it takes up the whole boot pretty much. So I got rid of it and down graded to a small $60 layback stroller from Target. Does the job perfectly. Folds up small, and is as light as a feather. Exactly what I needed.
We live in the suburbs, so our main need was for trips from the car to the store, or walks around the neighborhood. We have been really frugal in our stroller choices -- my daughter is 9 months and we've only spent about $210 total and have had all of our needs met! I was feeling really lost about what to do about strollers before I had my daugher -- so here is what we did, for those who are interested!
I felt so lost when it came to strollers, but we've been really happy with our CHEAP choices, so I thought I would share our thought process! I'm hoping we will not need any more strollers until we buy a DOUBLE! :-)
We are getting the 2012 City Mini the DAY it comes out! It will be $250. We will need a carseat adapter ($60) plus all the stroller accessories (cup holder, snack tray, etc)...so in the end it is pretty pricey. But hoping it will be the only stroller we ever need.
We have BabyTrend stroller frame that the carseat goes into - its small & inexpensive. It still doesn't fit in the trunk of my Toyota Yaris though, lol.
Man, I am so glad I have a big SUV! I am sure it's such a pain dealing with strollers and smaller cars.
I recieved the Graco Quatro Tour travel system as a gift and it was about $250. They don't sell my pattern anymore so I can't link to it, sorry. I rarely used the stroller becuase it's just so big. I did use it for taking her for walks on dirt paths because the wheels are so massive they can run over anything. I used the carseat everyday as well. For everyday I used (and still use!) the Combi Flare. It's amazing. It folds up super small to fit in the trunk of my ford focus or in the backseat if needed. The only complaint I have is now that my daughter is almost 2 she knows how to put her feet on the wheels to "lock" them up and it's annoying but I think she would figure that out with any stroller. It was retail $100 but I got it for about $20 becuase I worked at a baby store while pregnant.
@MerryC: have you heard of the Baby Jogger City Select? You can use it for twins and it has a bunch of configurations. It's my dream stroller. I know twin mamas who use it and love it.
@QBbride: The city select was in my top 2, but we ended up going with the Britax B-ready for the same reason (configurations etc) but the price was a little better than the City select
When we found out we were pregnant my genius husband came home with a BOB, he knew a running mama is a happy mama. It's a great stroller for around town but I use it mostly for running. We also got a snap in go, and we hardly ever used it.
I've found that for shopping and walks around the neighborhood, babywearing is much simpler. I reach for my ring sling or babyhawk much more often than a stroller. I'm sure it will change, but my son is now 8 months.
@MissDareDevil: Ditto, I love it.
I also have a jogger, but I'm really going to need a double seater stroller for munchkin #2 and big sister.
I have a Bugaboo Cameleon. It was the Neiman Marcus Special Edition so it was like $1200 dollars :-0. My boyfriend really liked the silver color... For the first couple months the Bugaboo Bassinet was the ONLY place we could get the baby to sleep without him being held, so I use that to justify the cost, lol.
I do really love it though. It's SO easy to push one handed, and I love the suspension and the fact I can easily push it on the beach. My sister has a Graco, and it's like pushing a tank compared to my Bug. Also we've had our strollers for the same amount of time(our babes are 6 days apart) and hers is trashed. Fabric has rips, sun fading, stains...my stroller fabric can be thrown in the washing machine, and after 20 months still looks brand new. And I use my stroller all the time. I also love how i can buy new fabrics and change up the colors if I get bored or have another baby. I feel it was worth the $.
@prettylizy: yeah even though we're not TTC yet, I always look up baby info. I was wondering what the differences were with city select vs britax? Is it just the price? The britax one looks nice too and I know their car seats have really high safety ratings.
I just go mine yesterday it was on sale for $132 and its a Graco Alano travel system that comes with a Graco snugride car seat. I'm very happy with the price we got it for and its not as bulky and heavy as other travel system strollers
@bells: what a great deal!!! Is the Alano the Graco stroller that can face either way?
@Blondetourage: Graco alano comes in different variations. They do have the Alano Flip it that can go either way, but we got the regular Alano thats just one way.
I got a jogger for 100 pounds sterling
I god a brand new (Out of a box) stroller system (Maxicosi) on ebay for $150, exact same stroller in the cheapest shop for $380-400!!!
I have such stroller envy! There are so many options in the US and they are so cheap!!! I've just started looking at strollers now and for a standard, normal stroller (no super fancy perks), I'm looking at a minimum of $400. And sadly, the car seat/stroller convertible units are not that common and the ones I have seen run upwards of $800. Not excited about forking out that kind of money. On the plus side, I'm trying to convince my mom to buy me some of this stuff in the States and bring it down when she visits after the baby is born....hmmm, wonder how successful that will be!
I have the Graco Alano Flip-It travel system that comes with a Snugride carseat and base. I paid $199 for it (no tax, yay for buying things on base!).
We have the bob ironman ($350 ish + $100 in accessories) and the citi mini ($240 ish + $50 in accessorises). I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BOTH PURCHASES!!!!
My husband threw a bit of a fit when he realized the ironman wasn't a DO EVERYTHING stroller.... but we've flown 3 times with the citi mini and it's AMAZING :) :)
We actually borrowed a higher end umbrella stroller from my brother this weekend to go to the mall by their house and it was HEAVY and a PITA! The steering was awful. I had my hubby try to push it and said 'THIS is why we got the citi mini'. My hubby does love both the strollers.
Now that we have a second one the way we'll have to figure out what to do. Probably babywear the infant for a while - though I do love being able to click the carseat into a stroller for errands when baby is likely to nap so getting in and out of the car doesn't disrupt sleep.
I'll probably try to find a double jogger on craigslist because we run a lot.
@heathaah: FYI - I'd hold off on buying the snack tray :) It's sits really high on the stroller and with Roo being 17 mos it still kinda blocks his view and is awkward :) I think the 'pull bar' might be better for older baby/toddlers especaiily because you can easily hook toys to it to keep them entertained.
I do HEART our citi mini!
@jilian: Ohhh..thank you for the tip!!! We sat there in the store wondering which of the two options was best!
Jeep stroller for $175- love it! Very smooth ride on sidewalks and on the trail. For the early days we can put the newborn carseat right in it, and later on he can ride in in the stroller when he gets bigger.

If you have more than one, how much was the most expensive one?
