How much did you spend on Bridal Party gifts?

I’m bumping to follow also.  As a bridesmaid, I’ve received:

Little canvas tote with my initial on – honestly, it’s too small to use for anything and I’ve never used it again (this was 3 years ago)

Inexpensive jewelry to wear for wedding – color specific (baby pink) for her wedding, never worn it again but it worked for that day

Nails done – totally fine for day of wedding

Been offered to have hair done – couldn’t go with other BMs (I was an OOT BM)

Honestly, I would have rather had gifts I could keep and reuse (like wine glasses or a robe).  I also don’t prefer gifts that have the bride’s and groom’s names and wedding date on them.  Too personal for me and not reusable.  You could spend just a small amount (under $20) on each, good thing you don’t have 10 attendants each.  🙂  No ideas yet, hence I’m following for the same reason.

I bought my BMs designer purses.  They loved them.  I spent around $100, but I also got them their dresses, hair and makeup.  In hindsight I would not have spent so much.

Some things I’ve received:

Hair & makeup, jewelry, jewelry box
Small diamond pendant

My favorite item was the jewelry box.  It’s from pottery barn and has my initials on the top.

for the girls we spent around $65 each, and the boys around $80 each. We had 5 on each side.

Girls: a Coach wristlet, their jewelry,a lipgloss for the day of, and a pashmina.

Boys: Omaha Steak assortment, and we packed them in a cooler… (all our guys are so different in personality.. but they all love to eat!)

We really wanted to show appreciation for our Bridal Party for the time off from work, to all the little things they did for us.. we wanted to make sure their items were practical and something they would hopefully use daily (girls anyway)

We spent about $100 on each member of our wedding party and had 10 people (including ushers).

We got all the girls a coffee mug that I chose to suit their personal taste (they are all big coffee drinkers), a mini bottle of baileys (yummy with coffee), a nail polish on their favorite color, and a gift card to different places that I know they shop at (DSW and craft stores).

For the guys we got various types of mugs/flasks depending on what they typically drink (beer vs mixed drinks), a small bottle of alcohol, and gift cards to places they typically shop at).

I know some may think gift cards don’t show a lot of thought but I have loved them in the past when I received them. We didn’t just get generic ones but matched them to each persons personality. We were struggling to spend a bit more on them and I figured it was better to get a gift card they would use vs spending the money on something they wouldn’t use again.

In case it matters, they purchased their dress and used shoes they owned.

I’m spending $50 on each girl….they are each getting a monogram necklace. I also bought them robes for the morning (basic black so they can re-wear again!) but I used kohls cash, so i I didn’t count those:)

I bought my girls their dresses, necklaces that go with the dress, silk robes with their initials on them, shirts with “bridsmaid, MOH, etc” that they’re never going to wear again…a bracelet that’s different for each girl, but is super cute, birchbox subscriptions for each girl. I don’t know what that adds up to…

We have one bridesmaid and one groomsman. For the bridesmaid, I bought her a sterling silver amethyst necklace, and for the groomsman we bought a sterling silver money clip engraved with his initials. The necklace cost $85 and the money clip was $90 plus engraving.

We did a couple of things for our bridal party:

1. Bridesmaids got a silver St. Simons Island Bracelet from the local Golden Isles Bracelet Company to wear on wedding day- silve goes with everything.

2. Bridesmaids got classy/ custom hangers from Etsy for pictures with dresses hanging- theirs were blue and mine was white.

3. Groomsmen got Tervis Tumblers (2- 16 oz.) for the favorite collegfe football team with 2 cans of Coke and 2 pints of Crown in a little basket.

4. The whole bridal party stayed at a house on St. Simons Island from Thursday to Sunday. We paid for this since everyone had to travel.

I’m trying to stay in a $100 per person range.

I am thinking a spa certificate for a massage that they can use after the wedding and a necklace with their birth stones and their first name letter.

I am also making them sashes to wear with their BM dresses.

The guys will get a cigar and a nice bottle of some liquor.

We have 3 BM’s and 1 junior plus 3 Groomsmen and 1 junior.

I’m getting my girls nice big multi-use bags either canvas or a purse and I’ve gotten all of them Bath and body works sets (lotion, body wash, 2 fragrance sprays, and anti bac), a necklace, a bracelet, a cute purse hanger, and a cocktail mix set (cider for my non drinking friend) AND I am paying for their dresses so it’s going to cost a pretty penny but it’s worth it since they will all be coming from out of town (minus one who lives a half hours away from the venue) so it will end up costing me about $120-150 per girl (4 in total)

I’m paying for their hair and makeup – so about $85 total.  To be honest, other than go shopping with me for a dress and one of them helping for 3 hours with the invites, they haven’t had to do much.  I’m probably not even having a bachelorette party.  And the bridal shower is being thrown by my FMIL so neither of them will have to spend any money on anything other than their dress which was $150.  I even told them to wear shoes or sandals they already have.
