@limekitty:  We’ve been struggling to book a florist as of late. We have gotten estimates ranging from 5k to 15k. We don’t want to overpay, but we also want a substantial floral look. I think we’ll probably end up in the neighborhood of 7k because my parents are paying and my mom is very into flowers.

@limekitty:  For what it’s worth, though, I’ve known people who have done flowers for $2000. I think a lot of it depends on geographic area, florist, and what flowers you are going for. And the venue, of course!

We used paper flowers folded from paper printed with favorite passages from books we like. It was a big diy project but cheap and wonderfully personal.

Flowers were very important to me so we did got a little overboard. We spent over 8K on flowers. I would have spent more but there wasn’t really any where else to put flowers!

@limekitty:  Don’t be at all. Honestly a small floral budget can give you great results, just fill in candles and you have a full look to any centerpiece. Not everyone can afford to go all out! Your wedding will be beautiful. 🙂

I can’t answer your poll, because we spend only $250.  We had only personal flowers for us and our two attendants, plus some freeze-dried rose petals to scatter around at the at-home reception.  All of our other decor was nonfloral.

Our floral cost is $300. It’s a tiny wedding though, so our order is small. Bouquet for me, which will be reused as the centerpiece, two small pieces to also go on the table, two corsages for the moms, and three bouts (FI and dads).
