Moorea/Bora Bora – A bit over $15K for 8 nights, not including excursions. Worth every penny, it’s the most beautiful place we’ve ever seen and we’ve done Europe/Caribbean stuff before.

@gpiglet:  My option isn’t on there 🙁 We are aiming at about $1000-$1500 for our honeymoon. The groom’s family hasn’t offered to make a contribution and we are trying to save for a house.

Our budget is less than $2000. Our honeymoon will be a week long. We’re going on a cruise from Florida to the Bahamas for 4 nights. We’re spending the rest of the time at a family member’s vacation house near the beach.

@gpiglet:  we spent about $5K for our honeymoon at an all-inclusive in Mexico- followed by 5 days in our families home state in GA before flying back home to CA. So that’s for flights (San Fran to Denver to Cancun, then Cancun to ATL, then ATL back to San Fran; + 8 nights at the all-inclsuve, a rental car in ATL, and a hotel in ATL for 3 nights). We got married at the resort so I didn’t count that money in the honeymoon (another $1,500) and we were supposed to be there 8 days but it ended up being 9 after a flight was cancelled (but our room that night was free & we got a set of free roundtrip tix!)

DH’s mom offered to pay for the hotel as a gift, then backed out because she didn’t approve of the “way” in which we got married (ie- not in her state, with a pastor/priest). We probably would have chosen somewhere less expensive (easily done in the mayan riviera) but we had already signed a contract with the hotel when we found out she wasn’t going to give us that gift….

About 4k.  Six days in Aruba.  I bought our flights over way ahead of time, and our flights back last minute (moving issues), so the way back was pricey and bumped us just over the $4k mark.  If we hadn’t had to get them like that, it would have been cheaper.

We are spending almost exactly $10,000 for two weeks in Italy.  That includes our flights, hotels, tours, and the spending money that we have budgeted for the time we are staying.  We are so excited!  But we are also not paying for our wedding, my parents are, which is the only reason we are able to spend that kind of money on our honeymoon.  We figure that we should go ahead and splurge since this is such an amazing opportunity.

We spent about $7,000 total.  We went to Morocco for 11 days and to Paris for a week.  It was an amazing trip.  I totally wish I could go back.

@gpiglet:  We are not married yet but I have been pplanning and budgeting and it seems we will probably spend about $4 to $5k.

We were planning to take a cruise, but his family is having a big family reunion in Iowa over the 4th and he just started a new job and could not ask for 2 weeks off. So we are getting married on Saturday in Charleston, then we will spend a few nights in Charleston. Get up and drive home on Tues to pick up the kids and drive to Nashville for a night or two and then head to Iowa for the weekend.

We spent about $1500 (a little less really) on the whole trip. We spent three days in Charleston, SC & Folly Beach! Then we took a five day cruise out of Charleston to the Bahamas. So, about 8 days total!

We could do the trip again for way less as well. We splurged on some travel items, souvenirs, alcohol on the boat, etc. 🙂

I would do it again in a heartbeat! I had so much fun!
