We made our STD's ourselves and it came to $40 including all the postage, envelopes and supplies.  We bought stamps from the Post Office that had wedding rings on them, so we didn't have the extra cost of personalized stamps.  We also made less than 20 because we're having a small DW wedding.  They came out pretty well, though they took a lot of work to put together!  If you have a pretty large guest list, I'd imagine STD's can get pricey!

I got 100 std postcards done at nextdayflyers.com for $25 (including shipping). One of the icons didn't transfer correctly so I told them and they fixed it and sent me new ones.

I spent about $150 at Wedding Paper Divas. Very happy with it, although I saw an even better one right after I sent them out :)

I literally laughed out loud at this post, because our STDs were such a project and I would have to take quite a bit of time to quantify exactly how much we spent on them. The (LITERALLY) 8-hour day I spent at FedEx Kinko's merely to get the front part printed was at minimum $30 (incl rental time on their computers fixing the font alignment when my pdf file MAGICALLY didn't show up with the proper font on their computer), then there was the Papersource paper and the cardstock and the two-sided tape and the little fabric flowers and the Zots (which we had to buy twice since I magically lost the first set) to attach the fabric flowers and the magnetic strips OH YEAH and the calligraphy plus the cost of shipping them to/from the East Coast calligrapher....

Please don't make me add it all up. plus the actual postage, I think I don't want to know. :)

Our photographer made them for us.  We spent $55 on 75 of them, including the envelopes.  Probably about $26 for postage.  So total: around $81.

We did 125 magnets with other info that we put in the envelope. They probably ended up costing us about $300 total. But everyone loved them!!

If I can do STD's for under $100, then I'll do them.... but so far, we've just been spreading the date by word of mouth!

$0.00.  I did the online slideshow and emailed them to our guests (it was sort of like  a wedding website, save the date thingie all in one with accommodation information and more).  The guests LOVE IT!

we got 175 cards on linen paper and envelopes with a design we created on them from zazzle for $95 including shipping (crazy 75% off coupon right after christmas--we probably don't need 175, but we erred on the too many side since the coupon was so good and we were too lazy to count # households on our lists then, and we were working against the clock before the coupon ran out!). then we spent like $50 or something on postage (plain stamps with the king and queen of hearts design--we'll probably have extra, which we'll use for thank yous, etc). and then we bought a custom return address stamp off etsy for $30. so, $175, but that's way including all the extras we won't use (we're sending 126 max)

I had wanted to just customize some nice ones online, which would have run around $100.  My mother wanted to go all out, so we ended up at Lion in the Sun, where we (she) spent almost $400 on them.  But to be fair, they look amaaaaaaazing.

I made sticker STDs a la martha stewart and I spent just under $1.00 per save the date (including postage, which was a 44¢ stamp); we sent out 85. So about $83 total.

$35 total - $20 for postage and $15 for 100 postcards from Vistaprint. I designed them myself, using one of our engagement photos on the front and text on the back. If you subscribe to their email list, you can get massive coupons, making it all much cheaper! I think $12 of the $15 we spent was on shipping :)

They may not have been as uber-creative as many I've seen here, but I loved them, they did the job, and we've gotten lots of comments on how cute the photo was.

STD's weren't an area I wanted to spend a lot of money so I DIY'ed ours.  I made them business card sized on cardstock printed on our home printer.  So it was 5 bucks for cardstock, but I can't calculate ink per page.  I already had the stamp/pad I used, and bought a new jar of embossing powder for 6 dollars.

I included them in our Christmas cards that we would have sent out anyway, but spent about 15 dollars on postage, and hand delivered what I could.

    So, less than 30 dollars!

We haven't printed ours yet because we don't quite have all the info but ours will be $65 for 90 custom designed post-cards on Zazzle plus a max of $25 in postage if we mail all of them. I really wanted postcards because they use less paper, don't require envelopes (more paper saved), and are nice and casual. I didn't want our STDs to trump our invitations and wanted them to be simple to reflect what they are--just a reminder to save the date.

vistaprint does mailing stamps?  I didn't know that.  Can you send me the link for that?  I don't see it on their website.

I bought oversized STD postcards from vistaprint.  They were free, but around $8 for shipping (50 of them).  My mom mailed them all out.  I think it cost a lot to mail them since they were oversized.  I think it was almost $1/piece.  If I had known that I would have just done normal postcards.  Ooops!

Ours ended up being $1.36 each, with postage.  I gocco'd some ivory cards and embellished with ribbon, then attached the gocco'd cards to some papersource cardstock.  I wanted to keep them to about one dollar each. but ran into problems with the postage since the knot we tied with the ribbon created a bump in the envelope.  Oh well!  Good lessons for the invites!

I had postcard STDs made.  My budget spreadsheet says $63 bucks for 100 postcards.  Add $0.29 cent stamps for each, and we printed using my computer for the back.  I was much more into designing my STDs than anything else.

We spent around $50 at vistaprint.com. Then we spent $35.20 on stamps and a few bucks on little envelopes.
