Hi all, I’ve been in the design field for almost 10 years and designed invitations for friends/family/myself and really enjoyed it! That being said I think I’m going to try to do something on the side. Soooo…How much did you spend? What did you get?
• standard A7 invite set (invite, outer envelope, RSVP, inner envelope)?
• directions/maps? Any other components?
• offset printing (if so how many colors), digital printing, letterpress printing (if so how many colors)?
• die cutting or laser cutting?
Thanks in advance for the input.

I’ll be DIYing my invites. The invites will be accordion style invites with no inserts. I expect to do 175 invites for $200 including postage.

Our budget is about $300 for everything and I’m planning on DIYing – haven’t picked them out yet but the only invites I liked online so far were like $700 and they only included an invite/rsvp! i’m too scared to really start looking…

our save the dates were $9 each (i believe, we did a package price because i wanted to many pieces, but i think thats what they came out to me). custom envelope liner, custom velum wrap wiht our matching monogram (same monogram as my siggy), calligraphy in custom ink color, double mounted a7
our invites (which i dont have pictures of on this laptop) were 8.5×11!! i was SOOO in love with them. they were very similar to the STD because they were from the same designer and matched the same suite (duh). they were shipped in a silk box thing (hard to discribe, i’ll post pics eventually), and then wrapped in brown paper. they were stunning! invites were something that i had NO problem spending money on; i adore paper and love getting pretty invites. they included the invite (8.5×11) rsvp (A7) and reception card (A9) they cost about $20 each (yeah, i know) but were to die for. plus i wasnt inviting 300 people.

They were $4.50 each, plus and extra $.75 to address. This included map, hotel accomodations, RSVP post card (which was also addressed), and two crystals on the invitation.
