SprinkleDonut:  Here is my Millie Icaro Lilly belt. I paid I think $485 for it, which is the absolute most I would have spent. I struggled with whether or not to buy it for over 6 months before finally pulling the trigger. I don’t regret it…it was truly gorgeous.

Free! Came with my dress…honestly, it’s a belt.  No one is really going to notice it…go with etsy or ebay.

Some sash prices are absolutely ridicuously.  My dress comes with a grey ribbon sash.  It doesn’t match my bridesmaid dresses, so I asked if I could switch it out for the same sash in ivory.  I was told I could not exchange the grey for the ivory and was quoted $800 for the ivory one.  For. A. Ribbon.  No bling.  Needless to say, I was offended (of all the weddings costs, this offended me the most) and am looking elsewhere for something.  A fellow bee found a similar ribbon online for about $40.

sillysillybee: Your sash is gorgeous!  Definitely worth the cost.

I ordered from Kirsten Keuhn but it never came so I had to file a dispute with PayPal to get my money back.  I saw another thread last night with another bride whose order never came either so I think this is becoming a regular occurance with her.

I think I’m going to order this one instead.  It’s the same style as the one from KK but I like that it’s made to measure rather than tying in a bow in the back. Still, I hadn’t wanted to spend so much! https://www.etsy.com/listing/188643944/brie-braided-bridal-belt-finished-with?ref=sr_gallery_1&ga_search_query=hook+and+eye+bridal+belt&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery

SprinkleDonut:  Yep, really…think about it from a non-bridal perspective.  Would you spend $100 -$300 on a belt you intended to only wear once? Probably not…you can find pretty ones for a lot cheaper than that if you source out.  They don’t have to be swarovski crystal, hand embroidered things.  There’s lots of pretty ones out there that don’t have to cost an arm and a leg.

I fell in love with a $225 bridal sash in a boutique. I did a reverse google image search…and it turns out that it used a pearl and rhinestone applique from a site called shinetrim. So I bought the same exact applique, glued it on a satin ribbon, and it  cost me $15 in the end.

I paid $46 for this from dhgate. It just took MONTHS To get. I didn’t want to spend a lot though so it worked out for me.
