I know it may be different based on location (unless you did your invites online). But I'm wondering how much people's invites cost--per person please! :) I'm mainly wondering for people who ordered invites through someone else. but for people who DIYed, I'd be interested on how much it all came to also!
We ordered 50 invitations, rsvp cards, thank you cards and a bunch of extra envelopes and it cost $240 including tax and shipping to Canada from the states. I don't know exact price per person for just the invitations though sorry.
But overall, I loved the invitations and am really happy with the price :) We ordered from weddingpaperdivas.com and I would definitely recommend them as they had tons of different options and they made sure you had exactly what you wanted before printing.
We ordered 65 invitations from Wedding Paper Diva and the cost (with a $20 coupon) was about $135. Envelopes were included and we ordered 15 extra envelopes. We're not doing any insert cards so that helped cut down on the cost for us.
We ordered during our vendor's semi-annual 20% off sale. We got 100 invitations, with inner and outer envelopes, RSVP cards and return envelopes pre-printed. We had 2 font colors and colored envelope liners. It came to $225.
Then I DIY'ed reception cards for each invite that cost about $8 total.
Total, we ordered 75 invitations, inner and outer envelopes (with our return address printed on the outer envelopes), RSVP cards and return envelopes, and reception enclosure cards for a total price of $420 (with a $20 coupon).
We also ordered from Wedding Paper Divas, and I would highly recommend them! Their customer service is great, and we received the invitations about a week after placing the order.
In my excitement to start addressing the envelopes, I accidentally wrote my guests' addresses, instead of my return address, on the RSVP return envelopes...called WPD and told them my error, and they shipped 75 new return envelopes to me the next day, free of charge :) (I don't work for the company, but I will sing their praises all day long!)
I had my invites custom designed by my graphic designer bridesmaid but the printing of the invite, RSVP card, envelope, and addresses on the envelopes totaled $443, but it was a pretty complex wedding suite.
I live in Canda and went to a a craft store called Micheal's (not sure if you have these in the US.) and bought cards that you have to print on yourself. They are beautiful! They cost $55.00 for a pack of 30 Includeing printable invites, response cards, directions cards; ribbon, jacket, seals & mailing labels.

@kolsen206: may i ask which printer you used? great price for letterpress!
I've been looking at zazzle.com of all places... They're going to be $1.57 ea for 100 for invitation only, then I'm going to try to do my own inserts. I also found some inexpensive lined envelops that would be about $30 for all invitations that I may or may not get.
I just purchased my invites last night from einvites.com (through costco.com so you get a 20 or 25 percent discount on everything). For 80 invites and envelopes with RSVP card and addressed envelopes for the RSVP I paid $159.
i ordered my invites through invitationsbydawn.com i got 75 invites + thank you cards + envelopes + seashell sticker seals for approx. $185 incl. tax + shipping to the US. had i wanted 100 invites or 50 invites, it would have plus or minus a few dollars, so i just got what i needed.
We haven't ordered yet but for 40 it will cost $60 including shipping with RSVP cards from vistaprint.com. Our shipping will be to Tokyo. I think its a great price cosidering. They have specials often so the RSVP cars are free and the invitaions are about $.84 each. They have many designs plus custom envelopes. I think they are elegant.
@Ms. Meowerson:i used "the aerialist press" based in cali. they did everything via email since i am in seattle. highly recommend them! i already got my invites and they are sitting in a box next to my bed... haha. and they even designed them for me too! (price includes custom design). letterpress looks great and each piece is hand pressed. you can order a sample of their work for $5 to see if you like it. good luck!

We ordered ours in Vietnam, and they ended up costing $40 for 100. I can't wait to see them!
@kolsen206: that seems SO inexpensive for letterpress! where did you get yours?
i won programs through a contest online, but used the winnings to go towards the cost of my invites rather than getting the programs. without winnning the contest, my invites would have been about 700 bucks for 75 of them.
We ordered ours from paper source... $900 not including inner envelopes (didn't do them b/c we wrapped the invites in lace). Way, way too much, especially since they weren't letterpress. They were gorgeous though!
lol we made them ourself and used beautiful flocked luxury paper and the grand total including envelopes was roughly $50!
I made mine with a combination of Michaels and DIY. $170 for 110-120 invitations with pocket, main card, RSVP card with envelope, Hotel card and Direction card. In addition to printing the design, I also added a blue ribbon and a blue outer envelope.
@kolsen206: i used the aerialist press too! LOVE them.
ok, i will give a 'high end' quote because i think the responses on this thread are skewed toward the more affordable range. . .
i ordered 175 letterpress invitations with RSVP card and a directions card. So, 3 letterpressed pieces in the suite. it was $1040. 2 color. that was the best price I found for the quality anywhere, and they had great customer service.
I DIYed ours, and they were $2.89 each for everything, except stamps. Here they are if you want to take a look.

$1800 for 115 custom designed, hand illustrated letterpressed invitations, RSVP cards, and lined envelopes. Expensive, but worth it--they were beautiful.
I got mine from Glitzy Events on Etsy they also have their own website glitzyevents.com. They were $9.25 a piece. I hade them custom created and they were also a pocket with 3 inserts. They were quite expensive, but beautiful.

Mine were found on etsy as well. they are 6.50 each, which includes the invitation which is on japanese paper, an attached sheet with all the details and rsvps with envelopes.
I also purchased my invites from einvites.com (through costco.com). For 200 invites and envelopes with 2 different reception cards, an RSVP card and addressed envelopes for the RSVP I paid under $3.00 per person for the entire suite (including thank you cards!).
I ordered through oliostyle.com and paid a little over $8 an invite for pocketfolds with two inserts. They came unassembled and I added a bellyband so they ended up costing closer to $8.75 an invite.
We ordered 110 of each of the following:
Save The Dates
Enclosure Cards (map of resort)
Invitations
Thank You Cards
RSVP cards
Printed Envelopes for all of the above...
We paid a total of about $350.00
@jenroh1984: Correction! We only ordered 60, I'm sorry. 110 is our total guest count, alot of invitations went to couples. My mistake : )
It averaged out to be about $5.40 per invitation set (including Save The Dates, enclosure cards, printed envelopes and Thank You notes, not just invitations)
mine are semi-diy. $150 for design, around $200 for paper, printing, and envelopes for 125. so that's around $2.80 an invite.
We ordered through weddingpaperdivas.com, and we bought 90 each of the following for 170 guests + extras:
Save the Dates
Invitations & Envelopes
RSVP Cards & Envelopes
Hotel Info Cards
Directions Card
We paid close to $400.
I ordered mine from the Etsy seller mybigdaydesigns. For an invitation front and back with an RSVP card we paid $125 for 25 invitations (although he did give us a few extra).
We did pocketfolds with the invites and printed info cards, rsvp cards and with both inner/outer envelopes we spent $300 for 125 invites!
@missmichigan: Here are pics....I just scanned them, the quality doesn't show through these pics..my scanner sucks
@missmichigan: Thanks, I looked everywhere for simple beach invitations with just one palm tree... never found them. I finally found this picture on a clipart website and copied it onto my invites! They turned just how I wanted them....simple and pretty. You can't see from these scanned photos but the sky is actually a greyish blue, it's beautiful in person....it looks very grey in these pics. Each card has the same image but I modified each card so it wasn't the exact same.
