Just thought that the trial run might have been a little high. I did get a trim too...but $45 for a trim and trial run? How much was yours? I mean I loved it and Im glad I did...will be posting pics soon! Im guessing though that the day of wont be much more...maybe 50...55? How much was your trial and day of wedding hair?

I should add that I tipped her $10 so it was $55 and Im guessing it will be $65 the day of.

    Thanks Hive!

Here in northern CA a trim with my fav hair stylist is $65 not including tip!  But anyways I digress....my trials were anywhere from $25-50 and my actual hair day of including washing, blow drying curling/styling veil placement and also having my MOH's hair done was $125 so I guess around $65? But we had to go to the salon, people all wanted like an extra $100 to travel to our venue (1/2 hour away) to do our hair.  Insane I tell you!  Anything with the word "bridal" on it usually gives people the right to severely increase their rates! I think they did a great job for the cost of my hair the day of...it lasted all day.  I brought my secret styling spray with me that I learned of in one of my trials at another salon!

My trial is going to be $60 and my actual day-of hair is going to start at $65, the price varies based on the style and the amount of worl she needs to do on my hair.

@ladyjenn-I love that look! Very pretty!

I'm not doing a trail for that reason. If I'm forking out an arm and a leg to have my hair/make-up done the day of, there's no way I can afford a trial! = (

Thank you guys!  I actually had a few trials, as I was figuring out what I wanted, but some upped the price for going to my venue or after hte trial they would increase the price when they found out it was a sunday.  I was at the point of giving up, so my regular stylist who wasn't available on the day of my wedding recommended I use her co worker, I took a chance and went blindingly on my wedding morning!  I had met her but she never did a trial on my hair!  Needless to say she followed directions pretty well and it worked out really well, thank goodness, my hair was my #1 priority over my makeup!  I'm glad I did my own makeup too becuase the MUA's were caking it on and I'm way too old for that look.

Mine is going to be $180 for the trial/day of.  I know, I am totally appalled at that price, too.  My stylist charges $55 for a bridesmaid updo, why is mine so much?  It's the same thing!  I would go somewhere else but she's the only person I trust.  I know it will hold all night and look great, so I'm going to suck it up and pay it.

Make-up is the same.  I'm considering doing my own.

Okay, I know mine is completely outrageous, but I am so totally in love with the stylist and her salon (it's a converted house and it's just. so. cute.) that I'm willing to do it.  My hair (updo) and makeup for the consultation, trial, and day-of (including champagne and food for my girls) will be $300.  I have a TON of hair and a super complicated updo, which may be contributing to that.  My dad is paying for my wedding, but I'm not letting him pay for this because it's such an unnecessary splurge.  My BMs that are getting their hair done (I gave them the option, if they were interested) will cost $75, and I'm paying for that as well.

@ Mrsmdphd...wow! I think with mine and my bridesmaids all together it might cost $300. But it sounds like she works by herself out of her house so that is another reason for a bigger price. That is very sweet of you to take that payment off of your dad and your bridesmaids. Im going to pay for my bridesmaids too. Good luck and please come back and share your hair photos...it sounds like its going to be awesome. But you're also saying food and champagne so thats great that its included!
