I actually won my veil. I had up to $150 to spend from the store I won it from and I had to pay $23 out of pocket so mine retailed at $173. Its a birdcage with feather and jeweled hair clip.
But let me say that the store tends to mark things up really high!! I would not havd that much for the veil if I had not won it.
$65--raw edge cathedral length veil from occansey designs. I can't recommend them enough! They were really wonderful to work with.

I think mine was $100. I bought it at the store where I purchased my dress. I'm sure it was overpriced, but I loved it so that's the one I got. :)
I am getting quotes for 800++!!!! I am looking for a cathedral length mantilla with lace edging and blusher...ugh!
Mine is a plain, simple veil that I got off of Craigslist for $8.00 and it's perfect!
@Karissa: I also bought my veil at my bridal shop but significantly cheaper than yours.
don't buy from a bridal shop. look on etsy, ebay, or the sites listed by pp's.
i'm making mine for less than $5 - raw edge cathedral with blusher.
Mine was $30 bucks - this is it

here is the store i bought mine from
they have a cathedral veil for 119

@Karissa: WOW. Lots of peoples' DRESSES didn't cost that much! Before you drop that kind of cash, I'd recommend trying to make it yourself, trying ebay, trying etsy, trying places like preownedweddingdress and once wed, and looking at places like Jay's Bridal that discount.
Seriously. 800?! It had better be edged in 14k gold!
$55 for a birdcage and flower fascinator from Etsy. I wanted to spend less than $40, but it was too pretty to resist.
@AmuseMeMusically: LOL! Seriously right!? I've looked at those places.. But how do you know the veil is going to match your dress? :-/
I paid $80. I know I could have gotten something way cheaper on ebay or etsy, but it was a last minute purchase.
I paid $20 for a raw edged cathedral, got it on e-bay! Loved it! I'd say check e-bay & etsy, looks like there are some good links on here, too!
Maybe 20-25 in crystals and beads. We used my mom's veil (she had a cathedral length mantilla) to cut mine from and she just finished the edge and beaded and added crystals to it. I actually haven't seen it yet but I can't wait!
@Karissa: I bought my cathedral length mantilla from this Etsy seller for $250 : www.etsy.com/shop/MARISOLAPARICIO . It would've been close to a $1000 in the shops; even the girls who worked at the salons told me "off the record" never to buy a veil at a salon! Marisol is fantastic to work with and her veils are of exceptional quality. This is my veil:
But still, does it matter if its a bit off in color? Should it be darker or lighter? My dress is ivory..
Gosh, i paid $200 from the bridal store -- A TOTAL RIPOFF! It's elbow length witha finished, thin ribbon edge. I just got caught up in the moment of buying a dress and trying the veil on and they somehow put it on my bill without me even asking the price!
I'm so envious at seeing how little everyone else paid! Don't trust the bridal store!
I used the same seller as @meliss! My experience was equally pleasant.
I got mine from Brides Against Breast Cancer for 30$! It is a double layered, double ribbon edged, elbow length veil. I love it!
Also my veil was too white for my ivory dress and the bridal salon where I bought my dress offered to tea dye it for me, for free. But if they hadn't I am sure I could have done it myself, it's super easy.
@Karissa: I wasn't even sure which dress I was going to wear till the last minute so I ordered an ivory veil with white lace. I ended up wearing a diamond white dress with ivory-ish embrodiery and everything kind of blended in. You would never notice the color difference. Unless your dress is a really off the wall color, a regular ivory veil will match nicely. I corresponded with Marisol for months because I was so indecisive and she even sent me a couple lace swatces to put my mind at ease. Tulle veils usually only come in the basic colors anyways (white, diamond white, ivory, champagne) so you wouldn't get anything different in a store. I considered wearing a latte dress for a while and Marisol told me they can tea-dye the lace if it's really off.
$150 from Alfred Angelo- elbow, 2-tier raw edge, but with embelishment about 1 inch fromt he edge
I only spent $250 on my dress from David's so I splurged on my veil.
@meliss: well that works! ill be getting a swatch of my gown, i can ask for a sample and match it up! thanks :)
I also got mine at occansey designs. I paid 25$ (not including shipping) for my fingertip length drop veil. The site will let you cutomize your order. Check them out I am sure that you will be able to find something that is way cheaper than 800
