Martina Liana Dress that I LOVE $2,100... it was a gift from my parents

I told myself the dress could not be over $1000 before taxes.  So my dress was actually $998, after taxes and things it came out to just under $1300.  I still will have alterations and a few changes to make, but I'm hoping that wont be over $300!!  But I'm so in love with it :)

My Budget for my dress alone was $350, I feel I did much better, since my total price included all of my accessories.

Total Cost: $ 361

Dress: $168 with tax

Alterations: $145

Shoes: $21

Hair flower: $7

Crinoline: $20 from ebay 

I went over budget, although I never really had a budget. My parents decided to buy my dress for me and my mom thought we would spend about $3500-4000. I could have easily stayed in that amount, but "the" dress was $4900. I had come to terms I wasn't going to buy it, but my mom wanted to see it on me. The moment I walked out she had tears coming down her face and without a doubt we signed on the dotted line. It's a Priscialla of Boston gown and will be here in about two weeks. I'm very excited! On New Year's Eve my fiance and I took a carriage ride and we passed by a Priscilla of Boston store and I remember seeing the dress I bought in the window. At the time we were not engaged, but had talked about it, and I remember clearly thinking to myself that the dress in the window looked like the most perfect dress...and I made a mental note to stop by after we were officially engaged just to look around. I never thought I'd walk out buying the gown in the window. 

Mine still needs to get fitted, but it was 450.00 before and I figure about 150 in alterations? So maybe 600.00? It was originally 1000.00 but I got it used from Brides Against Breast Cancer.
