Celebrity weddings? Not at all.
Most of them are a bit much for my taste. I find all the bling, club lighting, and things hanging from the ceiling over the top and a little cheesey...there's a little too much "spectacle" involved in those weddings.
I can't even picture one that I like. When one coordinator told me that she worked on Jo-Lo's wedding (not sure which one of the three), I was kind of turned off!
I don't follow celebrity gossip so I have no idea what celebrity wedding even looks like.
I wouldn't say they inspired me at all, since I knew exactly what I wanted. I think they're too over-the-top and extravagant for most people, and, like you said -- who really is dropping that much money and isn't a celebrity? Half a million dollars on a wedding seems a bit extreme to me!
However, I will admit, I was sucked into the Kate Middleton/Prince William wedding last spring.
I was actually struggling with choosing earrings when I saw Kate Middleton's. I might've picked up the first pair I found that looked similar to hers because they matched the style of my dress and I loved the look.
Actual celebrities though? Not at all.
Not at all, they're too over-the-top for me haha... they're just not my style (:
@mink: lol "not sure which of the three"
I can't think of a celebrity wedding that has inspired me... I do remember thinking Carrie Underwoods was particularly terrible.
@jessiesdream: lol, ditto! From what I hear through the grapevine about celebrity weddings, it sounds like they're too focused on appearances and not focused enough on the marriage. I guess hence why many of them are measured in HOURS instead of DECADES!!!
No, they are generally too over the top for me. I did really enjoy the royal wedding last year. I pretty much love anything Kate wears.
I loved Khloe Kardashian's wedding. Some celebrity weddings are a bit much for me but I do love to look at all the florals.
I actually don't pay that much attention to celebrity weddings, unless it's a celebrity I'm really into, so I'd say that celebrity weddings didn't affect my own choices at all.
Not at all. They are so OTT.
I do remember thinking someones wedding dress was pretty but I can't remember which celebrity, lol. It might have been Catherine Zeta Jones.
@abbie017: I couldnt agree more, the royal wedding was so exciting!
The only other celebrity wedding I have ever seen that I loved was Hilary Duff's (it had a lot of great personal and vintage touches, and although it obviously WAS over the top, it just felt quaint and personal from the pictures! Even the cake was vintagy!)
@LGenz: I HATED carrie underwood's wedding too! Her dress was weird on her and she was even wearing a huge tiara. ick.
ps. This is embarrasing but my best friend is very into celebrities and gossip so I have started to read OK and US magazines lately too. There always seems to be another over the top wedding featured in those magazines every week, and i couldnt tell you whose is whose. They just dont stand out to me as being romantic.
Not at all. They are very over the top and not my style. I prefer something simple and personal.
Not at all. I heard this girl talking about how she wants to have a kim karadashian like wedding and just wanted to roll my eyes.
@basketballwifetobe: Agree. I wouldn't want her whole wedding, but her colour scheme was what I've always wanted, and it was awesome to see it actually done....now I look like I'm copying her, but whatevs :P.
Not at all. I like reading the magazines, but have never seen anything that made me wanrt to try and copy it.
I actually don't follow celebrities and the goings-ons in their lives. My life is crazy enough! lol
Apart from the Royal Wedding, which was lovely and classic (give me a cheaper, scaled down version of that any day!), celebrity weddings have never appealed to me! Too much... conspicuous consumption... yeuch...
@sara_tiara: I too love her colors which will be my colors as well. I didn't really pay much attention to the other stuff
Absolutely none whatsoever. We could never have afforded most of the stuff they have. Besides color or flower/decorating ideas (obviously on a much smaller scale), they all seem too overdone for me.
I did love the photos of Tori Spelling's beach elopement to her current husband. Also Megan Fox's- that's about as romantic and down to earth as it gets to me.

I think it is unfair sometimes to have celebrity wedding pictures floating aorund everywhere because they are un-attainable unless you have hundreds of thousands to spend on a wedding.
That being said, i enjoy looking at their pictures as much as the next girl.
ps. What is your all time favorite celebrity wedding?
