Hey bees, I’m curious. How much do you pay for your car insurance? I’m shopping around and I’m trying to find the best and cheapest rate for me.
So if you could, list the general area that you live in, your monthly premium and/or overall cost of your policy, which company you’re with, and what your coverage entails.

Well to preface this, DH is an awful driver :/.
We have full coverage on our 2011 Nissan Sentra & just liability on our 2001 Dodge Dakota & we pay a total of $203/month with Infiniti ..in Southern California.

@stephanie091512: Yikes!! I couldn’t imagine paying that much! Right now, State Farm is quoting me $78.40 per month for full coverage on my 2011 Kia Forte and that also includes renter’s insurance for my apartment. But then I’ve never been in an accident or had a ticket so I’m sure that helps.
But paying $203 per month….smh. You have my sympathy lol.

Bodily injury 50,000/100,000
Property damage 25,000

Unfortunately, Michigan has one of the highest car insurance rates in the country (because we have no-fault, which is effing stupid). I don’t actually know what our current bill is (except that with the both of us for full coverage, it’s around $1000 every six months :), but:
– 1998 Nissan Altima, PLPD (state minimum coverage) was like $100 a month
– 2006 Subaru Impreza, full coverage $155 a month
I have no tickets, points, accidents, never even been pulled over. And it’s STILL crazy high.

When I had a 2006 Aveo I was paying $45 a month… we traded that in to get a 2009 VW GTI & now I’m paying $76. Full coverage for both instances. I don’t have any tickets on my record at this point, no accidents either. This is in Cincinnati, Ohio with discounts for having both my house & car insured through Progressive.

We pay $420/month to State Farm but that includes $275000 house plus contents, 2004 F150 FX4, 2013 VW Jetta TDI, 2006 750cc Honda Shadow and an additional rider on my ring. I have been with them since I started driving and have NEVER found anyone with better rates.
ETA: There is full coverage with little to no deductible on everything and $1M liability.

I pay $49/month for full coverage on my 2007 Mazda 6 through GEICO
FI pays about the same for his 09′ Ford Focus also through GEICO.
I pay $16/mo for renter’s insurance and though I added that via GEICO it is handled through Traveler’s and paid to them separate from my car insurance.

In NJ – I pay 68 a month but I also don’t have the best coverage for my car. At this point – my car is old enough and has enough miles that if it was in a crash, it’s better to buy a new car lol.

202 a month, 2013 Chevy Cruze Turbo.
1Mil liability (pretty much needed if you drive near toronto since you could potentially hit a jay-walker and be sued…)
Includes my financing coverage (0%)
Used to be:
164 a month for 2005 Chevy Malibu LS

In Virginia, I paid about $74/per month, 2005 Honda Accord. Getting married and adding husbands car and homeowners insurance, it went down to $ 56/per month. And I have really great coverage.

@LadyBlackheart: Can you add a poll? I wouldn’t mind sharing annoymously, but really don’t want to list out my specifics on here.

I’m a speed demon…$150/month for full coverage on a Suzuki Grand Vitara.
