70-100 a week, probably about 300 total for the two of us with eating out. We live in a city, though, so things are more expensive and we are always trying new restaurants.

500 per month so 100 ish per week, and we budget 200 per month of eating out which includes coffee, subway, OR a restaurant. I could bring that cost down if I couponed more or did more stocking up on meat like I used to but I got lazy.

Man you read my mind. I was just thinking about starting a thread like this last night when battling the usual crowds at my grocery store. I try to keep our weekly bill at 60-80$ for the two of us. We eat out about 2x a week and I cook the rest. It seems like my bills gets higher each week for less to account for.

Probably too much lol ~$150 for the two of us.  We maybe get takeout once a week, but FI eats out for work almost every day.  We never go through all of our food – I really want to go on a food no buy and just eat up what we have.

We’ve been cutting our budget down for a while, and we’re now about $50-60/week (but we go grocery shopping every 2 weeks so it’s about $100-$120).  I think this is pretty low, and it’s probably because we buy a ton a produce, beans, rice, etc, and very little “ready made meals” or packaged foods.  I’m a vegan, so that’s mostly out of necessity.

That doesn’t include going out to eat, which we do about every other week as well (proabably in the range of $25-$40 for those.  We don’t get drinks usually, and my food is usually cheap!). We used to go out to eat at least a couple times a week, but thankfully we’ve put a stop to that with better menu planning and budgeting.

I budget $100/week, and always go over (usually <$100 over for the whole month). This does not include eating out. I eat out most days with work, and we usually go on supper dates 1-2 times per month. So that adds up a lot. That being said, we always have a massively stocked pantry and deep freeze, and I could go months without buying anything besides perishables and we would still eat very well.

I should do that. Drain my pantry and deep freeze and see how long it would take until I would legitimately need to buy food.

For the two of us its usually around $70-$90 a week. Sometimes less than that, depending on how much food we have left over from the week before. And we don’t go out to eat hardly ever, so I would guess maybe about $20 a month for restaurants.

There are two of us and 3 animals. We only grocery shop every 2 weeks and we tried to cap it at $150 but always tend to get to $250. We also go out every saturday and typically spend about $60-$100 on meals for the both of us. But now we’ve just decided to cap our dinner dates to $20 so we can start saving for our big move.

Our monthly budget for groceries is 480, about 120 per week for a family of 4( 2 young kids) with coffee on the weekends and eating out once or twice a month( we arnt big on going out) we probably spend about 580ish per month on food.

About 100 per week in groceries to cover brown bag lunches at work and dinners. Then usually we go out once or twice during the weekend for about $75. We need to cut back on our going out budget. And I need to embrace more meatless cooking but FH is like a little kid when it comes to veggies. He’s a meat and potatoes guy.

I have no idea, but a lot! We don’t eat out often and bring our lunch to work, so it covers pretty much all of our food. I bet we spend $600/month, but only eat out maybe 2-3 times a month for about $30 each time.

sunelake27:  We spend roughly $100 on groceries for the two of us. Groceries are pretty expensive in my rural town.

Now that our freezer is full of venison, we buy less red meat. So it’s pbably a little less than $100/wk now.

FI eats enough for two people which is why we spend so much per week. I’ve asked him to cut back (he seriously eats until he can’t move- and he never gains weight) because he doesn’t need to be eating so much, but he won’t.

About $100 a week, sometimes it is more, sometimes less.  We try to eat mostly fresh non processed food, so depending on the season it can get expensive (or cheap during the summer!).  However, sometimes we can make it pretty cheap by eating more beans/lentils over other things. We do eat out/take out about 3 times a week, and most of our lunches at work are leftovers from dinner.

We did just sign up for a CSA this summer, so we will have awesome fresh produced delivered to us every 2 weeks.  We paid a decent amount of money for it, but, to us, we want a variety of farm fresh produce!
